A flex additive wouldn't work, nor is it exactly what u think. U can get an adhesion promoter like bulldog. Auto paint store.
& I wouldn't use ss pAint on it. U can use base coat, or u can buy specific paint for that kind of top ( vinyl dye)I would use paint thinner to wipe the top clean as a...
So a few days in after buying the beast, the starter went out, no choice needed a civi one put in. (I highly suggest anyone who buys these, to make this a first check on your list, mine was missing a bolt.)Hooked the starter wire to the front batt. To keep it from burning it up. then i was...
Don't expect the hf to last long. The inline filter your getting will work. I used them a few times & was impressed on how well it worked. The longer the hose the better. Most folks don't realize that the compressed air is hot when the compressor comes on, & then cools, build condensation in the...
If u use a da sander on it, definitely use a respirator. I am a professional painter, & the urthane clears we use r no joke, so the crap thats on these r worse for the lungs.
A minimum of 400 grit auto motive grade sand paper is needed weather u use da or wet sand. (For those hard lines)...
New plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump, ip, starter w/bolts, cleaned all the post & terminals for the electrical. Working on getting new crankshaft pulley, going to get the engine bay cleaned up this weekend, then onto getting the interior cleaned up & painted, a radio, then body & paint work.
Here's an update on the old beast. After changing the filter & fuel pump, i had no luck with bubba running. The mech i took it to put in plugs & found that not to be the problem, & then broke the bad news to me that a ip was needed. So i got one online, the guy installed it, 1k later, it now...
Heres an update, since i was a lil afrraid of messing with the timeing, i decided tomtake big bubba to a indy, & let them figure out whats wrong. This probly the 3rd time i ever took one of my cars to an indy for repairs. Hopefully i'll find out whats wrong next week.
Still new at this diesel thing, how do i adjust the pump? & i owned this thing for. A week. It ran fine up untill last monday. Just cant figure why all of the sudden los of pwer.
Ok, im at a lost over this. Last monday, the 1009 ran like it was running out of gas. Get back to work, barely idles & then wont idle & cuts off. Now the same guy who helped me with the starter issue, said he felt like the truck was losing prime, told me to change the filter, & then the fuel...
I don't think this is right
Well got the fuel pump off. Surprisingly hardly any fuel came out of the lines, how ever the thick goo came out of the pump. Thinkin definite failure. Another notes the bolts were not that right either. So far wet bolt I have touches has been a lil better then finger...
I'm getting ready to install a new fuel pump, & this is my first mech. pump I've done. From what I read I can use a hacksaw blade to push the push rod back or up when installing new pump, & that when I pull the blade out it should make a squawking sound.
Does this sound right? Also I there any...
Also check the bolts on the starter. One of mine fell out, & I didn't know, thought batteries were going dead, turns out that the starter was hanging up, & I burned it up.
