Be there Saturday mid-morning, just for the day. I did a reverse look up on the phone number and it gave me an address of:
Withlacoochee River RV Park Canoe Rental
39847 State Road 575
Dade City, FL 33523 (352) 583-4778
Is this the correct meet up location?
Thanks
Dean
Since this is my first winter with the Deuce, how cold does it need to be before I need to use ether or a heater to start the engine? If I understood what I read on a post, you can damage a diesel trying to start it in cold weather without a block heater. Is that true?
Thanks
Dean
Thanks guys,
The threads are past cleaning up with a tap. Bolt broke off one thread above the surface. Spent three days off and on soaking, tig welding up and finally got it out. About two threads came out galled into the remains of the bolt. Thought for a while that I would end up drilling it...
Going thru my winch I found that a couple of the top channel threaded holes are suffering from corrosion and need to be repaired. I see some references to using heli coils for this in the archive.
So, a question related to the basic repair:
How long of a heli coil should I use? The hole...
Correct. One on top and the other on the back toward the radiator. Yes, ODIron had some reproductions but they are sold out. There is a past thread on it in the archive. I want to have a set folded up at a local shop. I'll finish the holes myself.
Searched around a bit after seeing a post about ID'ing whether you have CARC or not paint on a truck. Did not see the relavent post.
The reference stated was something abreviated like nail polish remover and a rag....
Is there a quick/easy way to determine if the truck is painted with CARC...
