Would anyone have and be willing to share a drawing of the proper dimensions and the locations and size of the holes. Mine are pretty bent up and I dont know if after I bend them back into shape is they may have stretched a bit. I am thinking about having a set folded up at a local shop and...
Basically the TM describes removing the channels and the lock nut from the bottom rod in step #3 below. (copied and pasted from the TM)
1. Remove four screws (4), lockwashers (5), and channel (3) from gearcase (7) and end frame (12).
Discard lockwashers (5).
2. Remove six screws (2)...
Being the proud new owner of a winch for my Deuce I set about to go thru it before mounting on the truck.
Need advice...
Should the end frame (#12 in TM 9-2320-361-34) just slide off once the channels and rod nut are removed?
The TM leads me to believe this but mine is not cooperating. It is...
Just wanted to say thanks again to Kenny for helping me get the winch package together. He went way over anything I could have expected in making sure I had all the parts and information necessary to install the winch.
Even set me up with some other parts I needed.
He is a top shelf guy...
Tony,
My truck has the air side update. The switch in the picture is the updated unit. Same one shown on Erik's web site.
Brake Light Air Operated Switch, M35/M54/M809/M939 etc, 11602160
Problem is he is out of stock and I really can't seem to locate one anywhere using Google, except for...
Anyone know where I might find part #11602160. Erick's is out of stock. Found on on Ebay but the picture does not match the part#. One list in Israel but I don't think I want to wait that long! Saturn lists something but not sure. I'll have to call them. Pretty much other than that Google drew a...
Wreckerman,
Thanks! I have gotten a lot of responses. This is really a great site. If I settle on one of these others before I hear from you, I'll let you know so as not to waste your time.
Everyone else,
Thanks for the responses and advice!
All the best,
Dean
Spending quite a bit of time looking for a winch setup to convert my non winch but have not really had any success. Posted on a couple in the classified but those don't seem to be an option for one reason or another.
Can anyone point me in a direction to look for a kit?
Thanks

Thanks for the advice on the J tube. I guess I'll go ahead and lube it as a required maintenence activity. Although I am always leary of "don't broke it if it aint fixed" since I don't have any issues with stopping. Also, I'll check the glad hand. I was back there pressure washing and may have...
It's just you and me. Name a time. We'll sync up our watches.
Took my black Lab Tonka for a ride down to Spring Lake Hwy tonite. Did not really feel like getting out on the big road yet, so I found out a 3 point turn in one of these can be a bit of a challenge on a small road.rofl

End of Tristan.
I can take the short cut under the power lines to White Rd!
Let's have a two truck convoy once around the neighborhood.
Small world!
