I have tapped pressurized oil galley's to run turbos on chevy 5.3/6.0 truck engines. I'm not going to play forced induction on my hmmwv due to the fact I have no use for it, but I bet my lunch money that you can engineer a n/a block to run a turbo. It's all time, and a good welder.
Hope you didn't pay too much for it.... That said, you can try to put a claim on it, but it'll be denied. Since it's missing a bunch ole stuff, swap might be a cheaper option as surplus is no longer surplus for these trucks.... LOL :(
IMHO 3.5k is still high. Can buy the same carcasses left over on GL for scrap prices, but in little bitty pieces!

Can't discount those Kubota's. They are road legal where I live, and more times then naut you'll see the neighbors taking those into town. A hmmwv is demanding. If you know how to wrench, and have the desire they are just about as good as any 4x4 you can buy.
Have to factor in tax and buyer premium on the gp stuff. Unless you have a farm use tax then no taxes.
