    m1009 frees stuck tractor trailer

I have to say. My m1009 is my first hands on experience with a full size {or close to full size} 4x4 aside from my dad's civilian hummer when it comes to heavy snow driving. The M1009 cuts through everything. I give credit to the narrow bfg all terrains and the good front/rear weight ratio. I...

    m1009 frees stuck tractor trailer

Is it just me or does everyone here with a decent 4x4 just drive around in the snow and fish for people to pull out?

    m1009 frees stuck tractor trailer

It was too funny. Right after the tractor got on level ground the driver came out and said "God ****ed... I love me a Chevrolet!."

    m1009 frees stuck tractor trailer

I've got a duffle bag full of shackles, snatch straps, tow straps and chain. I leave it in the back of the the rig. Everything in there I have had since my high school days of tearing through power line trails and service roads. It's sort of a rats nest. As with everything else, it comes down...

    Starter support bracket?

I purchased the new style bracket my gear reduction style starter last year and still haven't installed it :/ For the life if me I cannot find a nut that will thread onto the stud to mount it. It's difficult to tell by feel and I can't get a good look at it. I suspect the threads are damaged.

trans fluid change out using Mityvac pump

Its a bit overkill, but my plan is to do this with every oil change and dump the pan/change the filter once a year. At least til I switch the trans over to amsoil :)

trans fluid change out using Mityvac pump

I didn't. I did a complete drain/fill and filter change when I first got the truck (around 5k miles ago). I just like to keep things fresh. I'll do a complete service with filter at a later date. I figured doing a service like this in between full services couldn't hurt.

trans fluid change out using Mityvac pump

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8eoCnBkx7M&feature=youtube_gdata_player Sucked out the trans fluid in the M1009 using my mityvac fluid evacuator. Ended up pulling out about 4.5 quarts.

out of the blue engine stall?

Had the 6.2 stall on me today. First time it has ever done this. Totally random. Was cruising on the highway at around 70mph. No problem. Go to take my exit. About a quarter of the way into the off ramp while applying the brakes and making a banking right turn I noticed the power steering cut...

    "Suspension Specials" lift kits???

I was browsing ntwonline.com and I came across their "house" brand lift system. Guess they call it Suspension Specials. Pretty cheap. Wondering if anyone has experience with this kit. I spoke to ntwonline's tech support guys and they said it uses superlift brand springs...
