yeah, but she turned over real easy and i guess theres less of a chance of damage than if she didnt turn over at all. In any case even if there was damage im sure its top end and im guessing he wont need to take the engine out..i hope..
well i didnt feel like digging aroudn back there in the cold, but just in case, how about these starters.. they look cheap but one offers a 1 year warrenty. And the used one looks interesting because it claims its watertight, but would it fit? Let me know..

I just got my m1008 like a month ago. I just got new mud tires on it and wanted to test it, espcially after i pulled a stuck wrangler out of the spot i was in, well i got stuck, stuck up the front bumper and doors in muddy water slime crap. She sat for a few hours while we made every attempt go...
Not to be a post whore or worry wart, but looking at the worst case scenerio, how much should i expect to pay for a rebuild of my 6.2? I hope my engines not toast but it seems she ran for a few min without oil to the lifters soo
Well, some people suggested it could be the cdr valve as well.
i should also mention there was a SMALL amount of water soaked into the foam around the filter and in the filter cover. Does the cdr valve have an opening to the outside or is it all "internal plumbing"? Because if it is indeed open...
got my starter gummed up in muddy water and now all i get is a click. I see ebay has starters for about 130 bucks, they any good? Or should i just get mine rebuilt? or is there another source?
thanks for the help. The biggest problem im going to have is my impact gun only has rough settings on it, and i dont have a torque wrench so. I guess i can try this, but shell be sitting for awhile before i do. I also have to replace the starter as its been sitting in the mud for hours she wont...
I got the truck in the mud/water up to the front bumper and doors. It was left running for a few hours as we made mulitple attemps to pull it out. As the truck sat in the water i noticed she smoked alot more than she normally does (she hardly ever smokes) which had me concerned but no biggie...
