Thanks for the tips and the schooling on "reducing" instead of "thinning." I've painted many a house, but never a vehicle. I'm going to shoot the inside of the bed first so I can get the hang of things.
Thanks again for the help!
Hey, there.
I am going to attempt to paint my truck myself and have never thinned paint before. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to thin and what to thin with? Can I buy the thinner at the local Lowe's? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Lookin' tough! I like the the m1009s topless - just looks like a fun machine. Nice job on the seat too. I think it's hilarious that they say "Mustang" on them.
Okay, you made me go out in the rain. There's only about 1/8 of the mud left on the truck. It's still caked pretty good inside the rear bumper, but these pics are lame if you ask me. LOL! I had 10 wet miles of HWY to drive to get back to work & that washed most of the good stuff off. Enjoy...
I want to flip the top on my air cleaner upside down but can't cause the studs are not long enough. Does anyone know the thread size? I went into Lowe's at lunch with the wing nut and tried it with a 1/4 20 but that didn't work. Are they metric?
It's a rainy day here in Southwest Georgia. The first in quite some time. I decided to take the CUC out after lunch and go down a stretch of dirt road. We still have a lot of dirt roads here. What a blast!! She was slingin' red clay everywhere. I thought I was going to have to put 'er in 4WD...
Thanks for the pos. comments, all. No plans on cammo yet. The color is just one that I picked out at Lowes. I'm thinking it may be a little too green, but oh well. At least that metal is protected. I may try a more CARC green at a later date and spray it myself. This will do for now.
Where is...
Hey, AJMBLAZER.
I checked my old CDR closely last night and believe it to be original. The numbers were STAMPED into the metal as opposed to being printed. For sure a GM part.
Hmmmm. Good question. I would have to say maybe. It was corroded and oil caked enough to be original, but it didn't have the factory stampings on the top like the one I got from the dealer. Again, I can't believe how much better the truck runs now that I replaced that thing.
