Anyone here use DieselKleen? I heard the stuff is really good. I THINK that the fuel tank size on my M1008 is 15 gallons - correct? If so, how much of this stuff do you mix per tank? The bottle I bought treats 100 gallons.
I installed my new CDR valve that I got from the stealership yesterday. Worked like a charm. No more burnt-oil smell. When I pulled the old one off it was clogged with the blackest oil I have ever seen. The engine runs much smoother now. This is the best fix I've made to the truck so far.

It's less than the smoke coming from a cigarette and it leaves no residue on the oil filler cap. It's a light mist. You can't smell it from the engine bay either.
I have a haze (not smoking) that comes from my oil filler cap when the truck is running. The dipstick stays on full so I don't think it's burning any oil, but I'm no expert. I do get a nasty burnt oil smell coming from the exhaust when I go from point A to B. Others have said this is probably...

RE: Re: RE: CDR valve from NAPA questions and other tune up

Cool! Thanks for the location check. I found this thread for the part #. Thanks again! I hate that smell!

Cool Jeep. Being that color, it looks like the one from the movie "Coal Minors Daughter" that Tommy Lee Jones drove after he came back from the service.
My buddy's M1008 exhaust smells like most diesels would smell - that sweet diesel fuel smell. I am a little concerned about mine though. It has a diesel fuel/burnt oil smell. I am starting to wonder if I am burning oil. It smells like this if the engine is hot or cold. However, I don't have blue...
My exhaust is pretty shot and I was thinking about having a new system run from the headers back. Any preferences? Anyone ever run FLOMASTERS on a CUCV? I thought maybe running 3" inlet/outlet flo's - would this work?
