Oh I definitely agree with you. I just remember having a telescoping mast with a MARFLIR and thought that it would be a great solution if HIGHLY cost prohibitive :wink:
I am looking at the new LMC catalog (BZC.43) and they are listing step bars black with limited 3yr warranty 38-3755 199.95 plus 20 oversized shipping. I checked online, but they haven't updated to the new catalog so I couldn't post a link.
You stated that the 24v inverter is connected to the rear 24v buss on the positive side, but the negative is grounded to the frame. I would isolate the 24v inverter from the frame and connect the ground to the buss bar. The 24v system IIRC is an isolated system, but by grounding the 24v...
That would make an awesome display vehicle especially with a bomb in tow or in a sling [thumbzup] That configuration would make for a really nice maintenance vehicle as well 8-)
$30 at Radio Shack will get you a decent multimeter, also get extra fuses for it while you are there. Trying to troubleshoot electrical issues without a multimeter is like trying to use a magnifying glass in the dark :cookoo:
