Question, M923 A0 no CTIS and Super singles.
I have this same type of issue, but you can hear air coming our from around the wheels on the front left and rear most right. I do hear the air going through the vent stack. We checked the lines and everything under side with soapy water and no...
Trucks from Sparta (Ft McCoy) are usually pretty good and why they went high. However truck prices across the board are high in general, but that should hopefully calm down in the next few months.
I have been in the car auction buying/selling business for 20 years at least and I do not even trust the auctioneer at a live auction. You HAVE to inspect them and if you cannot find someone locally to help by posted here in the correct SS forum. The current 5 Ton I have I helped inspected as I...
Date of manufacture does not always indicate model year, the year is in the VIN. Generally August is the most common month where auto manufactures change model years.
Some states like Texas will do a bonded title and costs about $250 to get it. I have done them here in Texas on a M1009 and...
It would be a 1984, not 1983. The CUCV model years are 1984 to 1987. Look at the 10th digit of the VIN, it will be a E.

That Behr paint holds up well after a year of intense off road driving scraping against trees and brush. As long as you prep it right and get a good sanded down base, it will hold up to just about anything you put to it. It holds up in that the paint will not peal away, but yes it will scratch...
I would highly suggest going with a Polyurethane motor mount insert from Energy Suppression over house brand. I replaced the ones in my 1998 Suburban that were house brand replacements by the previous owner with not many miles on them. Read too many stories about auto part store house brand...
That is 10x better over my design. I just use the plate and receiver mounts from Harbor Friend. I took the lights off as they are all on the grille now.
Yours is all fabricated and done very well.
1998 Suburban CUCV clone.
Sounds like a bad fuel filter, you should replace it. Had the same issues on my M1031 and after I replaced the filter all was fine.
Second, one should not run their fuel tank under 1/4 tank to avoid these issues. On all my diesel trucks (84 K20 Suburban, 98 K1500 Suburban and 86 M1031) I try to...
The current model LJ Jeeps (Rubicon and non-Rubicon) do not have a very safe intake system for water and have been known to hydro-lock from not very deep water. The trail rated does not mean it is water rated, just that it passed a suspension test. I have seen many engines get locked due to...
I read that either from you or someone else about the aluminum ones so I flushed it out before I installed it. Did not see any solder on the ground, so it was likely fine. Mine came from Genesis and was shipped out of Houston.
You are referring to the aluminum one looking at you past post, correct?
I also have had no issues with mine for almost a year now and did allot of off road driving in this hot Texas summer. Seems to run cooler at idle over the slow driving, but that is probably the transmission and oil adding...
Correct, this is exactly what I did in my 1984 Suburban CUCV clone. One in the front to distribute to all my accessories and to the rear battery that also has a junction block from the CUCV trucks.

Rear

That is 12 volts, the negative terminal of the back battery (Battery #2) is where the 12v 8gauge cable goes to the 12v terminal bock on the driver side firewall. The front battery #1 positive and rear battery #2 negative are both 12v, so connecting to either one is fine. I run my M1031 12v...
Seems to be no FJ 80 snorkels on eBay anymore from a USA seller, just the FJ 40. This is however using those keywords to search, but I found it by going to the seller I bought it from, "tmshelmet". Since I am discussing my closed auction they listed it with these major key words from the 2013...
