Would a 6 volt coil work with the waterproof dizzy in the M38A1?

I might be able to buy NOS for one...it will be a long shot but worth checking out. The one in my '48' might be one if its any good.

I have a '48' that has the water proof distributor and the coil in under the dash on pass. side. Is there a 12 V coil that can be used and would it have to have a resistor built into the coil? Thanks

My M38 A-1 has been converted to 12V w/o waterproof distributor. If I add the waterproof distributor do I have to convert it back to a 24 V system? (I have the early model type made in Jan. '53.') If not how do I set it up? Thanks

It seems like the axle hub is losing its plumb. I took one off of a donor truck and put it on mine exactly as I took it off. My other one has never done that.

They aren't breaking.... the passenger side front is loosing its toe in drastically. It will be so far out that you can't drive in a straight line. It's happened twice and I can't figure out why it is happening.

On one M880 I have replaced the axles on the Dana 44 HD twice. I'm thinking about replacing the HD 44 with a Dana 60. Has anyone done this and how does the Full time NP 203 work on that set up?

I found a source of MD38A1 serial numbers. MD 33667 Dec. 1952 MD 37407 Jan. 1953 MD 48020 April 1953 That would put mine in Jan. or Feb. 1953

It shouldn't but some one else might have some other feed back.
