with a 235 tire you looking at 2333 rpms at 65mph with 31 inch tire your looking at 2249 rpms at 65 mph with a 33 inch tire your looking at 2113 rpms at 65 mph. With 33's you will be doing 2600 rpms at 80 mph which is alot less than a m1009 would do with the 3.08's and th400. Or About 52 mph...
I say its your truck, you worked hard for the cash to pay for it, so lift it, cut the fenders put a 12 vavle cummins in it, anything you want as its your truck. And who cares what anyone else has to say. Is it a cherry ride sure is. But its bottom line is its a piece of equipment to be used how...
get a piece of wire strip the two ends touch it to the side of th bulb and ground it to a part of the truck if the light works then you have a ground short.
Like ODdave said marine injectors are good, but you need a good matched set that are in good shape. A quality rebuild of your own injectors with a slight edm of the existing holes (im trying to find my specs again) will net way more than the marine injectors. But then you would really need a...
A DB2 inj pump is rated to 6700psi. But honestly I would stay away from the marine injectors. Also make sure if you do get marine injectors the body's of them are right for your truck as there is a long and short inj body with fine and coarse threads.
New to me as well, never have seen one backed out like this, lol sad part is all my tools are locked up at my new job, so im having to cobble something together to get me bye.
Ok today after I got home from my orentation from work I noticed a small puddle under the truck after about a hour, traced it to the bellhousing, figured fuel was leaking from the throttle shaft or a line down the engine valley and running down. Took off airfilter got a flashlight and saw the...
1008 only cause I would rather install a better option for front locking diff, and the 1028's seems like people are all over them like hogs on slop. So I could probably snag a 1008 cheaper.
"Everything I have read on the CJ10 says the 70 has a GovLock. Two of the four I
have had were open differential 70s. The last two have some sort of locker in
them but I have not been inside. One spins like a limited slip, the other acts
open like a GovLock but locks up with wheel spin. I...
remember one thing a m1008 and m1009 are way diff animals in aspects of price. A man can sell the dana 60 out of a m1008 for a easy 1000. So I dont think he will if he knows the value of the parts he has there bite on 1500, he could sell the drivetrain and scrap the body and frame and make what...
THE WH1C is not gonna support much more, due to after about 32psi is becomes a hair dryer making more heat than anything. HX35 is gonna give you 35 psi after that it warms up as well boosting egts. When you decide on your injectors that will tell you what turbo will be needed.
that was my second part I forgot to write. I have only seen a few STE/ICE-R kits and no very little about them, But I think your results need to be confirmed with a standard compression tester. I will be willing to bet you will have better results.
Just my opinion but maybe find a rebuildable core, go thru it slowly and still enjoy your m1009 as you slowly work your core motor over IE go thru heads, rebuild and put everything back into specs to include inj pump and inj. Then just swap them over. Just seems more realistic to slowly get...
