what is the device on the front of the water pump for??

you would need custom header and they are expensive you would probably be better off with a turbo set up from a 6.5

no it goes in between the yoke and the pinion bearing retainer, it is about the same circumference as the bearing retainer, it looks like a protective plate for the bearing retainer.

I need a fresh 6.2 and can't afford alot of down time so instead of rebuilding it "I'm not even sure if its a good core because of all the smoke out the crankcase" with turbo and timing gears and poss. low compression pistons, or I can blow the budget on a hmmwv take out and some timing gears...

thats why a parrallel set up works better, but for 24v charger = 24v battery, 12v charger =12v batt. but both batts charge equaly in parrallel, if you did 24v this would work better but what to do about in cab 12v electrical, maybe a dropping resistor for that?? the duece has 24v cab electrics...
