hi,
I got mine directly from a GL Surplus auction over at Ft. Stewart back in late Jan; it's been a good truck. 86K on the engine and i have taken it on several long trips.
I believe with just normal maintenance you should be able to get into the high 100's with it. I personally haven't...
A few days ago I made the trip over to Anniston, AL to the Army Depot to pick up my new M101A1 trailer from a recent GL auction. For the most part, I am pretty stoked with the purchase - all the lights and handbrakes work. Has the sides and the rear gate. Except for a few rust spots, it's...
I got the M101 from Anniston - which is about a 90minute drive from here. I did see the trailers at Ft Stewart, but never dug deeper through them because I saw that they were labeled M105's .... did they end being a good deal for someone?

Well, dispite my issues with GL (still battling them on getting an SF97 for my deuce), I picked up another M1009 CUCV and a M101A1 trailer yesterday. The truck is out of FL, so maybe with the luck that FL folks have gotten with getting SF97's on non-SF97 auctions, maybe that will continue with...
I will be more than happy to help ya .... and when I get my deuce next month, you can help me with mine then.
PM if that's cool - I am available most evenings and weekends.

RE: sheer luck...
Hey there Dave,
I got my m1009 from GL back in February, with a SF97 here in Georgia. I paid a fair price for it, and mechanically has been great. I have taken two long trips in it (1600 miles round trip to Aberdeen and a recent 900 mile trip to southern MS) with no issues...
Hopefully that Georgia 'luck' will happen with me; I am in the same boat with LAX and waiting for my EUC to clear. Cant wait to get my new Deuce!

The row with 4 fuses in it, furthest right one ... 30 AMP. Yeah, my fuse doesn't stay in there 'naturally', so a little hotglue is working some magic with it.
I believe that row is the third row from the bottom. Bottom row being the single 28v fuse.
HTH,

Hey Kenneth, I got your PM.
No, it's not mine and I am not sure if it's for sale. However, what I will do is leave a note on it for you.
I believe Monday the construction crew will be out there.

Heh - well, I am sure someone, somewhere would appreciate this old Green Iron.
I came across it while driving through some new housing developments in my area.
M35A2C - not sure of the year though ... I guess pre '69, as it appears to have at one time had a soft top. I am not sure about the...
Yeah, I went to the local AutoZone and they had to order it in. Came in next day with my core.
Obviously doing that you don't pay for the shipping.
A good deal, plus lifetime warranty.

Nah, everytime the police just say put it on ... never got an official warning or citation.
I was kinda hoping that GA would pass that bill into law - oh well, maybe next year.
Yeah, I would like to get a towbar - low on the priority list at the moment; I need mirrors and a speedo for my M109A3...
I bought a rebuilt one from AutoZone - it was $98 (at that time) with core. Lifetime warranty, also came with the backing plate.
I never changed one before; so it took me approx 3 hours or so total to R&R it. The two nuts inside the cab where the worst. Thank god for air tools.
Here is the...
