Hi All,
I just bought two CUCV m1009's from GL out of Montgomery and will not have enough time to get them both off base and to Atlanta in one day. I would like to keep one there, off-base in Montegomery for an extra week and come back on a Saturday and get it.
Does anyone have property in...
Re: RE: Re: RE: Aberdeen 2007
Yeah, this past year I left at Atlanta 9am and met up Cabell at 5pm on the north end of NC, then we drove into VA for the Wednesday night stay. That was approx 480miles (according to my speedo), and then another 60-80 to Doswell. I would say my avg speed was 55...
Yeah, swapping tailgates would be the easiest indeed, but I got most of the parts (just lacking a few items) already. BKinzey, if you get done before me, would you mind sharing some pics? I will do the same. Thanks!

Re: RE: Aberdeen 2007
Hey Cabell and gang -
That is correct, I am definitely participating 2007. I had such a great time meeting and convoying up last time - and really enjoyed everyones company. I will be coming from the Atlanta, so we can start one leg of the Yellow Serial group on this...
Ok, sorry for the delay ... here are the pictures:

They need captions, which I will be filling in.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to resize and paste them directly in here. Maybe I will during my vacation...
Ok, and I don't know why, but I really would like to put in a rear tailgate power regulator and motor. It's not that I will be removing the manual out, GL or DRMO already has done that for me :x - so I get to start off fresh.
Has anyone done such a conversion that can share any quarks or...
RE: Chuck-vee questions
Bill,
Pretty much the only major thing that is 24v is the Starter. Batteries and Alternators are 12v in a series. In the middle of that series, a line breaks out and feeds the 12v stuff, which is everything else.
I have bought two M1009's straight from GL and for...
Hi Redwolf3, I got nothing for ya other than have you tried to pop in a new starter relay and fix your batteries? I am curious as well as to see if was just the relay that got damaged. Take care,
-graham
Yeah, it was manufactured in spring of '86 - if I can remember the door tag right. The M1009 I am keeping, is a early 86 - that was manufactured on 8/85 .

Damn - those all had their glass ... both M1009's that I have needed glass all around. Granted, I paid 1/2 of those prices - and willing to take the ugly ones.
I just sold one of my M1009's for $3k. I think it was a fair price, while it needed a few things. But it's a real runner.

RE: Question on SF97
Hi Brian,
That is correct - your state's approved officer would inspect it after it's in your possession.
I just recently picked up another CUCV M1009 from FL, and had to get the SF97 corrected. GL wanted to see my state's VIN verification filled out so they could get the...
We will be having a get-together over at Clintos this Saturday, the 30th.
Afternoon cook-out, enjoying each other's company and of course, our trucks.
Clinto's vast-estate is East of Winder, GA (30666) - specifically in the area of Hwy 316 and Wall Road. If you are planning on joining us...
