started replacing the wiper, signal, and key switch. After replacing all. I can't get the rack and sector gear to turn. It seams to be locked up. Any ideas?

Refuring to the 2nd picture? I welded a peice of 4" electric pipe (EMT) to the housing base. then made moom shape flat medal to fit oval to round on back side

In my 1985 M1009 I have noticed that the high idle is not working. (when I start it up hot or cold weather)

Well - just got finished installing the vacuum/ pressure switch. WOW hat a differance. Starts right up now. My 1009 was a beast starting up when it was below 50 degrees. It killed my batteries and I replaced them. I started with glow plugs didn't help. Change filter again still didn't help...

Had transfer case come apart and the drive shaft dance down the road about two weeks ago. (bearing or pervious owner had no fuild in case, not sure)
Remover old transfer case (about and hour and a half)
Purchused BRAND NEW, STILL IN THE BOX, Military surplus, transfer case and...
Did a resistor by-pass, Doghead starter relay install, and fuel filter replacement, air filter, clean all + and - on batteries, clean all + and - on fire wall blocks, added dielectric grease to all connections, and clean windows
Did all this taking my time in 3 hours
