Another thing to consider with only allowing PMs to the seller is what happens when their inbox is full? At that point there's no way to get in touch with them if the thread is closed to posting. I guess it would be up to them to keep their inbox cleaned out when posting an ad?
I see both sides of the issue. On one hand you have people undercutting others, which should be addressed definitely. On the other hand you could have someone who bought item X and is extremely pleased with it, and they want to let everyone know how happy they are. I know this is something that...
The low RPM would be off. And just because they're making noise doesn't mean they're working. If you turn the power on and crack the bleeder and get a steady stream of fuel, that's a safe bet the in tank pump is working.
Yes, its normal. I'm not a big reader myself and have probably logged hundreds upon hundreds of hours on this forum reading. You've most definitely come down with green fever. I'm not sure how you want to break it to your loved ones... that's for you to figure out. :driver:
Back on topic...
That could simply be a clogged fuel system. Replace all 3 fuel filters if you haven't done so yet (I know you said you ordered some). That is typically the first step in fixing running issues from what I've seen. Also wouldn't hurt to make sure you have fresh diesel in the tank. When we got ours...
Well, I have new wheels/tires on the way for our truck along with other miscellaneous parts (Yay! :jumpin:), so as long as I can get everything done and installed by then I'll definitely have the Deuce there!
I don't have any experience with Tom's kit. But from a lot of the pricing I've seen on other kits (minus used ones), I agree with Clinto, best bang for your buck. One of these days when the bank account recovers from all the purchases we're making right now for getting our truck more road...
Now you've got me wanting to do that... I'm 6'5, so getting in and out of the bed with the bows and cover on usually ends up with me hitting my head at least twice every time .
Welcome to the forum!
If you can get it under $1k, I'd say go for it (worst case scenario you can part it out and make money off of it, not that I'm for parting out trucks, but if its too far gone...). It will absolutely need some TLC and work to get it in working condition, but it'll be worth...
Mine drips a decent amount, I haven't actually seen it dripping out but I do see the slight mess on my axle from it (my tube is only about 1 to 1-1/2 feet). If you want to see a ton of blow by, ask wb1895 about his. When he pulled up a while back I thought he had his exhaust routed to dump under...
I'm with doghead, track down who you sold it to. Then from there follow the chain if they sold it, eventually you should be able to find out who owns it now. Unless the current owner is completely head over heels in love with it and won't part with it, everything is for sale for the right price.
Looking good! I like the rifle mount and seats. What kind of sweep range do you get with the rifle mount with the exhaust stack being right there? Seems like you'd only be able to aim to the front right of the truck and back.
I've been toying with getting a block heater myself. Typically the winters around here are relatively mild, so I decided it might not be worth it. But with how this winter has been, I'm revisiting the idea. Thanks for the write up!
One thing to bear in mind is that practically every engine on the road, unless equipped with a pre-lube system, dry starts for a brief second every time you start it, and especially after doing an oil change. A quick second or 2 of no oil pressure isn't going to hurt an engine in most cases. Not...
