That's pretty cool !
I'm going to get 4 more here soon and arrange them to get a 360 light saturation around the truck. I'm thinking 4 to the front and 4 to the back.
How are you going to mount them?
They are the Truck-Lite 7" Route Clearance LED flood lights (#07392).
Picture does not do them justice, the inner 2 are pointed slightly outward and the outer 2 are pointed almost 45 deg outwards.
The headlights are the newer Truck-Lite LED with the clear lense.
This setup will light sh#t up!
Finally bought 4 route clearance flood lights and got them installed over the weekend with some great assistance from Beerslayer.
They are very bright, kinda looks like a stadium light driving down the road:smile:
These things are very impressive and I would highly recomend them!
I only have...
I have a ramp temporarily, but will install a small 1000# crane in the near future for tire, 55gal fuel drums, etc.
If I'm far from home I usually have a friend with me anyways, and most of my friends are capable of helping me lift it up in there if need be, i've had to do it once already when...
The one you saw in the pictures was a 14.5 x 20, I had not had the chance to get it changed over yet.
I for one wanted a matching full size spare, fully aired up without any mods to the spare tire area since I plan on dual fuel tanks or another larger tool box, so here's what I did.
Thanks guys, I've got many hours of work into my truck and I'm very happy with it overall.
Congrats on the new A3 mad scientist, definitely post some pics !
I've been putting off my in bed spare tire mount for way too long... so here it is:D
I even got my lovely wife to assist me with the install, although she wasn't exactly thrilled.
I'll post results this weekend.
Off subject, but I finally got around to painting my wheels and CTIS covers... WOW, what a difference.
If you haven't done it, do it, it's worth it.
Makes the truck look way better.
Thats a good question...
I assume I can't trust my speedometer, so I'll have to check it with my garmin rhino this weekend. (assuming that is accurate)
I'm not sure exactly what your asking, but if your asking do my tire pressures stay at the pressures I manually inflate to, the answer is yes.
I have no leaks at all, whether the CTIS valves are installed or not.
I'm actually in the process of replacing all of the hub seals, inner axle seals, etc.
I had all of my CTIS wheel valves and manifold rebuilt by CM and the ECU tested, so before I put any of the CTIS components back on, I'm going through the entire system.
Unfortunately the CTIS won't help me...
Thanks guys !
It came with the standard 14.5 x 20 Michelin X Radials.
I won 8 brand new Goodyear MV/T 395/85R20 from GL and put those on, and I couldn't be happier with them.
I couldn't find many posts on anyone taking dueces in the sand dunes, so I figured I'd share my experience.
Took the A3 out to Sand Lake for the day, and what a blast !
Started out with the tires at normal road pressure, and could get around ok but it did not like any sort of hill...
I have had zero issues of rubbing or rocks getting wedged on my A3, couldn't be any better IMHO.
I've even "flexed it out" (to the max) both front and rear with my Hyster and they don't rub anywhere.
Also done plenty of offroading with no issues.
Hope this helps, and good luck !
