We have a place out at CRR, so I'm almost always up for a trip to the Bend area:beer:
The only thing I haven't done is take the Deuce over with me, that will have to change:driver:
Any Portland area guys (or beyond) wanna meet up for a beer/coffee/lunch let me know!
It's always great to meet fellow MV guys, and I always enjoy checking out the MV's:beer:
My business is located in inner SE Portland, and I live out by Newberg, so those are the area's I'm in all the time.

This cover kit came brand new with my truck, I made custom brackets and cut about 3" off the bottom of the supports, I really like it.

What kind of cover kit is this? LMTV?
LONG overdue update:
Finally got around to testing with a mechanical gauge; water temp @ 160F it idles at 40 PSI, and at high RPM's (apx. 2,600) it's at about 70 PSI.
I got a new sending unit on order, and the trucks running great.
After cleaning the spindle, I did a visual inspection of the bushing and it seamed to have little to no significant wear at all. I also checked by trying to move the end of the axle that sticks out of the spindle (after install) sideways for any free play and there was none, I can't say that...
Both boots are torn on mine, the right side worse than the left.
The right side (the one I replaced) was dropping globs of the grease and gear oil sludge onto the inside of my tire and subsequently slinging it all over under the fender on the right side.
The gear oil was coming from the bad...

On a serious note:
I chock the rear wheels, the "custom" stands...
Got my right front boot done this weekend, with some help from Beerslayer.
Thanks again for the help, and I look forward to the opportunity to return the favor.
In total, it took about 2 hours to tear it apart on friday night, and about 6.5 hours on monday to button it all back up. (actual work...
I'd love to meet up with some Oregon guys!
Just out of curiousity, I saw what I believe was a nice 5 ton in inner SE Portland the other day...anyone on here?
It was parked only a few blocks from my business, and I've never seen it around before (maybe seeing my deuce driving by everyday...
I'm planning on replacing both front boots on the A3 this weekend because they are torn. I'm going with the solid silicone boots from Erik's and I also bought new axle seals to replace since I'm going to tear into it anyway. I have all the tools, but are there any other parts I should have on...
