I won a lot of G20's on PLS trailer wheels and decided to recenter them for the deuce.
It works great, but I don't really need them as I just bought new 395's that I'll mount on my A3 wheels. (I want to keep the CTIS)
Is anyone interested in them?
I have a machine and fab shop, so I made plates...
I asked the same question of the code enforcement guy, and I got the wheel chair response.
Although he did indicate that if I did park it there, he would'nt bug me unless someone complained.
In the 2+ years at this house I have yet to see someone in a wheel chair or a blind person, but who...
There are certain ways I choose to deal with people in these types of jobs, and I think it has helped me succeed in dealing with them.
They are in a position of power whether we like it or not, and can make your life very misserable if they choose to do so.
I'm not one who will kiss someones...
I currently live in an HOA neighborhood and bought my deuce about 4 months ago.
All of the neighbors I'm friends with told me someone would call me in, so I acted in advance.
First I called the city code enforcement and checked local regulations.
I found out that as long as I'm parked for no...
I MUST correct myself...
Photo #1 Is NOT a HEMMT wheel (not so "easy" I guess)aua
It's a 2-piece version of #2 (same off-set & hole pattern)
It's PLS Trailer wheel as well.
Now I will re-center them for the deuce, and I'm off to the races:D
I'll post some pics when I'm finished.
This is a little off topic, but here it goes...
Why do so many folks on here dislike the CTIS?
I realize it typically has some issues when pulled off a GL lot, but don't you think it's from lack of maintenance, sitting for who knows how long, etc.?
I for one bought my truck with the...
The CTIS should not be operated at temperatures below 0 Deg F, and I believe at cold temperatures above 0 Deg F it's supposed to be driven several miles before activating the system.
I could be wrong on the last part, but the 0 to -65 F is in the TM.
I contacted CM Automotive and they have been VERY helpful.
They rebuilt my manifold, and a wheel valve because they had oil in them.
Apparently the oil damages the diaphrams.
Picture #1 is a 3-Piece Lock-Ring
Picture #2 is a 2-Piece HEMMT wheel
#1 is easy, thats a HEMMT
#2 I'm not so sure about... I need to compare the bolt pattern and see if they are the same.
If they are not the same, then I would like to know if they will work recentered for the deuce...
The "Lock-Ring" wheels I'm talking about ARE tubeless.
Maybe I don't know what to call them.
I know they are from Oshkosh, and almost look like a different type of HEMMT.
I just picked up (8) 20" 3-Piece lock-ring wheels and (4) 20" 2-piece HEMMT's along with (8) 85-95% G20's:D
My question:
Are the 3-piece lock ring wheels worth recentering?
I know folks do it with the 2-piece HEMMT wheels, but what about the 3-piece?
I am more than capable of doing the...
Ok, I switched back to the stock muffler.
I tried it and figured I should switch back to stock and see what the real difference is.
HOLLY SH*T!!! Apparently I forgot how quiet the A3 was, I'm leaving the stock muffler on, and also replaced the torn pre-filter tube.
I guess you have to try it...
I sent him my parts about 3 weeks ago, and they came back to me about 6 days later.
So, very recently.
Great guy to deal with, very friendly, and he knows his stuff.
You don't come across someone willing to do what he's done very often, especially when he did'nt even sell the stuff to me in...
I like the idea of the CTIS, but I started with some issues.
When I got my truck, if I turned on the CTIS the tires would all drop to about 25 PSI and stay there, even when running on HWY mode.
At that point, it was time to talk to someone who built the system.
After sending an email, and...
