    After fitting a normal new front axle seal on the left hand side(and it leaked again 2 days later) I fitted new modified seal(from a fellow member here) Hey presto......no more leaking.

    I found the seals ok.....but it's the metal strips that hold them to the cab roof i'm after.I could make them if my old one's were useable as a pattern.Must be somewhere where I can get new ones.

    Does anyone know if the top door seals that are attached to the hard top are replacable? Well not really the seal bit, the seal carrier.Mine are rusting away.I can't seem to make out from the TM's or various suppliers pics if they are.

    Done both mine last week.Had to drill new holes in the R/H one for the battery trays.But no probs.

    What Oil and Filter do you use?

    I use the same oil we use in our semi's.Don't cost me nothing.Exol 15w40.What's good for MAN,MERC,MACK and IVECO is good enough for me.I use what ever filter is on the shelf at the motor factors(as long as it aint dirt cheap)

    Rebuilt my transmission.When i got it apart,one set of clutch packs were shot.No wonder i had no reverse and slipping top gear.

    Aux socket.

    Sat Nav runs on 12v or 24v.Can be fully powered,nothing to stop me putting a on/off switch in the circuit.

    Well,looks like i'm going to have to bite the bullet.I now have no reverse(engages but slips) and the same on 3rd.Grrrrr.The oil is all black and smelling burnt.

    Further investigation today.I checked my exciter plugs.All ok except i'm getting .02v reading on the brown wire with ing off on gen 2.My volt meter is in the red while running.Even swopped the relays around under the dash.

    The excitor plug is the 2pin plug that plugs in the top back of the alternator.
