    CUCV Integrated winch mount.

I like it.... But not the price. For a $40-60 universal winch plate, some pieces of flat strap and 4 triangles and a few other bits that look to be 3/16" cut out on a CNC plasma the price point at $400 is high for me. JMHO Pete

Run Block Heater 6.2L all the time?

Makes sense to me. Most block heaters are 600 watt. If you are paying $.14/kWh it will cost you about $2.00 a day (24 hours) to leave it plugged in. I plug mine in only when I know I am going to use it.

    M1009 Gov-Lock Sometimes Not Working?

One of the GM promo videos for "G80" said that it needs 120 rpm difference between the two axleshafts. Maybe more skinny pedal is needed?

    86 M1008 Injection Pump Bolts

Broken off flush? There really isn't a whole lot of good options for a steel screw broken off in an aluminum housing. Whatever you elect to do be sure to keep the inside of the pump operating room clean. Pump removal and replacement of the housing by an injection pump shop is an option...

    M1010 transmission problem

The whirring noise you mentioned could be a sign that the pump is shot. That would explain the lack of any action when you put it in any gear. Try dropping the transmission pan and seeing if there is any metallic peanut butter at the bottom or in the filter

What is going on with this Flexplate? Out of round and bent? Yikes...

http://www.tcsproducts.com/media/1/Converter_Cat1_1.pdf good reference. looks like there were diesel converters made with only 3 pads, and the pilot diameter is the same on them.

    4 wd selector spring

McMaster Carr has thousands of springs for sale. If you know the OD, ID and wire diameter you should be good to go.

What is going on with this Flexplate? Out of round and bent? Yikes...

Looks like a diesel flexplate and a gas torque converter in the video. In the video you can see some of the unused holes in the flexplate since the torque converter only has three mounts. Also looks like the converter had to be shimmed out with washers. Can you turn it over one revolution to...

    Uneven brake pad wear

+1 on the caliper grease. I kept having issues on my front Dana 60 when I was using aluminum anti seize on the caliper. Now everything works much better after a good cleaning and synthetic caliper grease. I didn't know the stuff existed until it was mentioned on the forum.

[video] Is this amount of smoke normal?

If that was 7,000 plus feet I would consider that normal.

What was the elevation up there?

    Transmission Opinions

"Level" does not mean a thing. Different transmission builders have different recipes of upgrade parts that they combine to make a transmission stronger than stock. One guy's "level 2" build might be completely different than another's "level 2" You really have to compare what parts the...

    Transmission Opinions

That is a lot of weight to move around 24/7 with the stock 150ish horse diesel. rustystud is right that it will take money no matter what you choose, and that a gear vendors is indestructable. Personally I have a 700r4, and I spent about $1100 on just parts to build it up. I would have mixed...

    CUCV Wobble Wobble

Can you post a picture of your steering linkage from the box to whatever it connects to? A 6" lift is big enough that steering geometry can get a bit wonky. Something else you can do is park somewhere good and flat like a large mega store parking lot with your wheels as straight as they can...

    CUCV Wobble Wobble

Cucvrs gave a pretty exhaustive list of causes. Only specific one I can add is kingpins. If you don't know what death wobble is you should research it on the forum so that way you can spend countless hours (maybe less) fixing the problem. More info would help you get better answers. What...

    Increasing steering "tension"

Steering feel is controlled by the size of the t-bar/Torsion bar/ metering rod (three different names for the same part. It is a spring steel rod that is inside the splined input shaft. When you turn one way or the other it deflects and that controls the valve that ports oil to one side of the...
