That was my initial thought, that's why I went ahead and spent the money for a "brand new" hydraulic head from one of the reputable parts dealers. I'm assuming it's a Chinese repro since it doesn't have the data plate riveted to the side. I did notice that the plunger didn't feel as tight as I...
This one has me stumped!
The issue I'm having is that the motor won't return to idle correctly, almost like it's starving for fuel. When I let off the gas suddenly, whether shifting gears or just a simple rev of the motor, the RPMs will fall below the idle set point. It sometimes recovers and...
Agree with what has been said above. I've locked mine up hauling 4.5 cords of wet firewood with a 105 trailer in tow, and it's brakes are defunct, pretty easily. I would look in the direction of the airpack since it "multiplies" the pressure to the brake system.
My thoughts too. Like the exhaust ports at the manifold or maybe even valve covers. Check the valve cover bolts and exhaust/intake manifold bolts and nuts for tightness. If you have been letting it idle a lot recently, I would take it on a good drive to clear the exhaust of any build up or...
My neighbors M109a3, straight from the GL yard in Fort Benning sitting on dualled 11.00 Michelin XL's. The only picture I have of it. While it may have not been a prevalent configuration, it was done on some trucks.
We can guess all day... it could be the eject switch or the switch to release the parachute when you're running the 1/4mile at the drags.(insert sarcasm here)... My guess is that you should follow the wires/cables and see what they connect to. You might answer your own question or it will at...
Bring your MV down to the beach south of Del Sur Marina Saturday about noon, we decorate them with lights. Everyone makes some deserts to pass out to the crowd for donations. Event usually starts at around 5ish if I remember correctly.
Hey Dennis, just came across this.. I'll be there Friday. Not sure I'll bring the the deuce tho, having injector pump problems and don't know if I can get it fixed by then. I'll see what I can get done to it today. I also went and cut a whole trailer load of firewood and a truck load of stumps.
Here are pictures of the relay/bracket/wiring. Wire 74 is the small wire to the top of the relay and wire 10 is the small that goes to the bottom of the relay. I can look around tomorrow and see if I have a bracket laying around but it honestly looks like it would be pretty easy to fab one up...
If you have a picture for me to compare to, I have some new random military faucets laying around and I have no clue what they are for. Might have the one you're needing!
I need some help ID'ing a brand new turbo I have and the motor(s) it would have been found on. I have found that it was used on a Mack but no model number of motor. Thinking it might be for the M39 series with the Mack ENDT-673? I want to sell it but need to figure out exactly what it is and is...
I had a similar problem a couple years ago. Mine would start and idle but progressively got worse, to the point where it wouldn't start and stay running without holding the throttle. I had been running WMO and just let the stock filters do the cleaning/filtering. Bad Idea! Long story short, the...
I agree with Rusty, I've had it happen twice where a fitting was cracked after replacing an airpack. As best as I could figure out it came from using a standard open end wrench to tighten it, guess it was directing too much pressure in too few places of the soft brass fitting. I started using a...
All the parts and the rust free M109 that is being parted out are at my house in Las Cruces, NM 88007. It's mainly mechanical deuce, 6.2 CUCV motor parts and some 6.5 turbos , only body parts we have will be off that 109. It will be about 2 weeks until I can start getting stuff shipped out and...
Nothing will come "flying out." There is a stiff spring underneath the cover and a plunger beneath the spring. Stick the 2 quarters in between the cover and the spring then tighten back up. If your FDC is bypassed this "trick" won't work...
A deuce will do just fine in soft/deep sand. 395's are nice, but 9.00's work just fine. I personally run 395's and drag my 30' camper through some pretty deep sand without issue, my buddy runs 9.00's and drags his 40' toy hauler through the same. The key to it, as previously stated, is airing...
