If all you need to do is move it, shove a wine cork in the hole (champagne bottle cork worked for me) and duct tape it in. Use LOTS of duct tape. You only need to build about 60-70 psi to release the brakes to move it. It worked for me to move my truck from the back yard up to the garage for...
Some of the main wiring is the same as a deuce (light switch for example). There is a wire numbers reference in the deuce stickys... Incase that might help.
My 923a2 had the same symptoms, power, click but nothing at the starter. I could start it by crossing the terminals at the starter solenoid but not by using the switch. Long story short, I ran a wire directly from the small terminal on the starter up to the start switch and problem solved. So...
I get mine from Boyce Equipment because it takes 2 days for my order to arrive, but any of the normal military parts places should carry them. Word of advice, keep the stock military boots on as log as you can, the replacements (both silicon ad zipper style) are far inferior and DO NOT hold up...
1.) I use RTV to seal the zipper
2.) My knuckle boots have never lasted more than 8 months before rotting out, so I don't even bother with safety wire.
3.) if I recall correctly, the retaining ring keeps the zipper secure.
On the top of the emergency brake assembly there is an air actuated arm with a small roller connected to it. When the E-brake is pulled up (engaged) it moves the arm with the roller up, actuating the air brakes. Check this arm and make sure it returns to the down position when the E-brake lever...
Yeah, what I would give to have the ingenuity and craftsmanship like zout and my neighbor! But like you said, it sure is handy having someone across the street that will trade a couple cold ones for some of those creative ideas! :) as you can tell, the article was nothing about my truck. I was...
No he's here in town, lives right across the street from me. He mainly uses it for hunting and a couple camping trips.. He's got a pretty nice M151 he puts in the 105 to take hunting! It's almost a prefect fit.
That 109 belongs to my next door neighbor/SS member (oilburner). If you look real hard in the background, me and my deuce are bringing up the rear. :) We had those photos shot last March, on the most terribly windy day you could imagine!! I can attest, he has done an awsome job with the RV...
If the city wants them gone then oblige them and make them disappear... Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answers to. If there is no paper work on them who cares!? Someone go pick them up stick them in the back 40 and enjoy a couple free parts trucks... I'm sure moe than one of us...
I bid that REO up to $1,500. That was what the "boss" said my spending limit was.. All three were nice trucks, I checked them out pretty good when I picked up two other deuces I bought there this past summer. Who ever got them got a good deal!!
I've got an M35A2 with an LDT 465 that I'm working on for a friend. It's having starter issues. When you push the start button the engine will start, but it makes a grinding sound as it is turning the motor over. Almost like the starter gear is slipping on the flywheel teeth. I checked and made...
