I used a 45ft triple tandem axle deck over gooseneck trailer to haul my deuce home. If your trailer floor is set between the axles, it won't fit. Also better have at least a 1ton pickup and trailer brakes are in good working order. I pulled mine 300 miles with my 2500 GMC and would not recommend...
Try Eriks military surplus or Boyce Equipment for the seals. Very simple to do, just everything is heavy. If search this topic there are a couple threads the will walk you all the way through it along with pics to go with each step. Good luck!
Ok I am in the process of replacing the exhaust manifold gasket on my LDT465-1C. While removing the exhaust nuts lastnight, I had one bring the stud out along with it on the #5 cylinder. When I got it all the way out coolant started pouring out the hole where the stud came from. Is this normal...
Thanks a bunch! My computer took a dump on me, so opening the TM's isn't an option for me at this point, so I'll go with the grade 5 specs and see what happens!
My deuce leaked also anytime I drove it. I replaced the oring seal and doesn't leak a drop. Might also check and make sure the lip on the tank where the seal sets isn't bent or deformed.
I would also like to add that brand and tread pattern are also factors. Not sure about your area, but here in NM for 85% or better tread, I'm getting $200 for Michelin XZL's, but for Goodyear AT-2's I'm lucky if I can sell them for $150 per tire. Those prices are for tire and rim. Another aspect...
I live about 5 miles north of Cruces in Dona Ana. I got an M35a2c and an M923. I got quite a few spare parts and such. You ever need a hand working on the truck or locating parts or just want to go for a cruise let me know.

Fuel heater runs off whatever is in your fuel tank... Easiest way to eliminate that out of the equation is to bypass it. If you're not wanting to get rid of it though, I would take the two fuel lines off the injector nozzle, remove the nozzle out of the intake, reconnect the two lines to the...
I discovered the exact same thing with my deuce this weekend, about 2 extra gallons of oil in the crankcase. I feared the worst ( diesel in the oil). After doing a lot of reading on "making oil" I had concluded that fuel HAD to be getting into the oil... How else could that much extra oil have...
Yes those are HEMTT rims with an adapter plate bolted to to outside from what i can see from your pics.To replace the valve stem you will have to split the rim. Out of personal experience, I found it definitely worth the 25$ to have a tire shop split the rims, especially of you have bead locks...
I have the deuce insured through Allstate. For a car and the deuce its like 48$/ month. Also got the 5 ton insured at State Farm. I can get you the numbers to the agents who took care of me if you are still looking.
