Ok My M-1009 has a shudder...
I took into the transmission shop, because I thought it was my second gear in the transmission.. but he says he thinks it engine related.
Researching this sight, I need to start off changing the harmonic balancer..
It's not the tires, they are ok, That was...
Thanks for the pics!
I'm thinking about the Tuffys....or making one like that..
The bicycle one is good for when you are 4 wheeling, and drinking from 20 oz water bottles or Pop bottles... I can see where that woul dbe ideal... Maybe I need 2 Tuffys, and one Bike holder...
those Tuffys...
Winch plate manufacturer
I'm looking for a 1/4" thick universal mounting plate like you guys are running..
Where do I get one wide enough?
I am not against building my own... I like the extra lights mounted on the Winch assembly... You can never have too many lights!
3M adhesive...
It looks pretty slick...
but
I am pretty confident in my metal skills (A&P Mechanic) so I think I will weld..
Did you get your floor panels from LMC?
Good advice.. only cut out what you need to cut out.
Any Pictures yet?
Looks like for around $350 I can get a new floor...
Thanks!
Wow.. I assumed that MY CUCV would have 24v for the trailer....
Well that saves me from having to figure out the problem...
You'all saved me a bunch of time.
Problem solved!
I'm only getting 12v at the "Trailer Interconectivity Portal"..on my M-1009
So My M101A3 trailer isn't "BEING ALL IT CAN BE"
The tail lights still work, but the 24v side marker (yellow) lights are very dim..
Anybody know how 24v is supplied to the pigtail assembly?
Is there one wire that is...
Stuck
I LOVE MUD, I like to get it in every nook and cranny..!
I actually had a colony of ants inhabit my truck... They did not like My washing the their mud house from my CUCV.
I must have picked them up while muddin, because I've never seen them around my house...?!?
Wow
I'd be a GOD to all the Boy Scout Parents if I had one of those..
Think how much better it would be feeding 30 hungry young men...
Thanks for posting!
Sounds Normal
I doubt most people will use them.... But I use mine.
I let the boys play my M101A3.... nice to know it wont tip over on them.
I also Have a Pickup Camper I haul in my trailer.. so it's kinda nice insurance.
Sounds normal..good luck!
My project
Last summer I was running a 50% blend of ATF(used) and Diesel... it was too much. Clogged up the Fuel nozzles.. It ran pretty good on the stuff until nozzle problems developed. I had a spare HUMMVE engine in a can, so I swapped fuel nozzles...
This year my plan is not to...
Icy climate?
I would vote for Suburban..
I have a 2003 Suburban.. and My M-1009..
If it's icy ALOT in your area you will want the long wheel base of the Suburban.
I think the Burb rides like a Cadillac.. comfortable.
I dislike the IFS system and push button 4 wheel drive... If I have been...
More
# forget about Washing and waxing... I appreciate the rain... helps wash the mudd off... (although the piles of mud in driveway get old)
# Crowded parking lot at school to drop kids off... no problem we can park on top the frozen snow pile made by snow plows... the kids love...
Thanks
thanks for the tips...
I ordered my GPs off ebay, they are supposed to be narrow already.
I havnt even tried to get one out yet..
If they put anti-sease on the threads it sounds like it should be easy.
I'm just trying to get things together before I dig in..
I'm gonna change out my glow plugs...
Anybody in Iowa have a glow plug tool to loan out?
I'm not sure if mine are swollen or not.. just getting things lined up.
