Yeah I now realize that most people don't use the lock out, When I got my first wrecker it was so tight I had to use vise grips, as I don't believe the rear hydraulics were used more then a few times(if that) since its rebuild and paint. The next one I got which wasn't a recent rebuild and more...
Well I guess one of last good things about California, Is I haven't seen rust like that in a while. And I know yours isn't really that bad. But id take the rust instead of the politics.
So what happened. Are you home. I hope by now... Just curious. I have never driven one that far but between the two I have driven 360 miles each making 720+- miles and the one more have to drive this week, it should get me close. For some reason this next one is making me nervous. Maybe it has...
I dont want to ask you or anyone else what specific price they paid for their M1070(s), but for those who have been diligently watching these being sold, what in your experience is the price range they have been selling for? I was told by a GL guy last time I was in Barstow a week or so ago,that...
While I understand the 4 wheel steering due to wheel base vs turning radius but why do you have to run 53"s or is that just a preference (THE BIGGER THE BETTER SYNDROME) Be simple enough to make a 4 door, if your willing to sacrifice another cab.
I also used to think you cant go up, but I have had good luck using 12VDC to 24VDC converters i bought on EBAY. They are from China (of course) but seem to be built pretty good. If your load isn't too large they can be a big help. I would post some pictures but I dont have any here right now...
I have been reading this thread for possible future problems/info but I cant seem to figure out where the electric priming pump is? I found one listed for the old motor but were talking about an A2 right. I know where the hand primer is... If it doesn't have one then I am really wondering what...
I figured it had a lot to do with tradition. Is just me with my civie mindset seeing single axle trucks with 36K+ GVWR then looking at the Duece. But I bet it gets stuck less offroad and would esp. be nice to have some extra tires if someone/something happens to blows off or out a few, maybe be...
The larger Fuel filter is a Wix 33401 or Napa 3401. By the way if you didn't know already Napa and Wix are identical with identical part numbers except Napa drops the first number from the Wix number. The first numbers help designate the type of filter with 3s being fuel and 5's being hydraulic...
Check out these guys, they have some good info on determining what model and size you have. Commercial Intertech was a great company but ever since Parker bought it around 10 or so years ago the info, specs and parts breakdowns are harder to come by. Parker has bought up dozens of smaller...
These trucks ignition wise are about as simple as they get except for that control box. I know its too late now but you should try and jump start it first before buying or replacing the starter. At least I would. I was messing with mine today because I need to pick up another A2 that says its...
So the Military themselves rebuild facility for these motors? One of my trucks has a replaced engine but it was remanufactured by Cummins, but its not that new its an 05. I think I would rather have it done by Cummins then the Military.
