Use my M35 in 6x6 as a daily driver... but I think everyone should have a 6x6 vehicle or greater...
No what about something like this arrangement.
you step down the height of the carriage between your fifth wheel on the truck and your trailer...
Eaton has lockers for it that are cheap, ARB makes air lockers for the 2.5ton but they are 1 g a pop you would need two so that is 2g's on the lockers alone. The Eaton ones usually run about 500 a pop.
Hey why don't you lift the Trailer? You put the trailer on 11:00-20's as well then you...
Yeah well I plan on moving to Pittsburgh for Graduate School so it might be a little colder than new home of Louisville... I don't know if it will be colder than Windham New York is , that is where I'm from and spent 22 years of my life. But my Deuce has no heat now at all. I provide the heat...
Locking diffs will not make you turn tighter, in fact it will make turning harder since the wheels will be going exactly the same speed on the outside and inside of the radius. What they will do is add to your traction.
Well a M35 transfer case does split the power 50/50 when under normal...
Well series would up the voltage so if I put two 12 volt batteries in series I get 24 volts but if I out them in parallel I get twice their amperage. So what you're saying is actually just tie the seats into the battery terminals then you have 12 volts from battery to one seat and one to the...
Steering brakes would be nice for a tight turn, but with a plow on the back of a truck like this in deep mud you'll need fully locked diffs at least in the rear where slippage is most likely to occur. I would go with all four wheels with diff lock and perhaps an after market transfer case that...
I'm not worried about the wiring the seats so much. I think Parallel would be better since if one is turned off or malfunctions I can still use the other one. What I'm worried about is moisture from running in 30 plus inches of water shorting out the converter and seating elements.
Do they make kits that work for 24volts? That is the problem, I'm not that big on converts... I sort of want the simplest system possible. I also want it water proof... Yes I still want to be able to go into 30 plus inches of water and have my seats work as well.
I drive my M35A2 every day... Is it awesome to drive? yes. It is a pain to park in a small lot? Yes... Is it slow? yes... Be prepared to cruise at 45-48mph at 2000-2200rpm most of the time in 5th. Be prepared to shift a lot. I'm talking from from a fifth to fourth on grades greater than...
I don't get the fade of reducing the M35 to a 4x4 from a 6x6? I've always wanted a 6x6 so maybe that is why... In fact I want more than just a 6x6 but I cannot afford to purchase a 8x8 or 10x10 truck from Tatra... Something insanely large is what I like.
But going form 6x6 to 4x4 should be a...
So has anyone put in a seat heater into the Drivers' seat or Passengers seat? I think this would be a great idea... I need a seat heater because well a Seat Heater would be great for my freezing behind... So what I'm thinking is I could peel off the seat cover and put in the electric unit and...
Well there is a way to reduce the weight of the plow on the front end of the truck.. You need to make a mount that hinges more in the mid of the tuck. This will distribute the weight from being mostly in the front to middle of the truck.
