Why do i need a deuce? Cause their sweet!

Nope they are the same basic design just bigger in every respect and with a different gear ratio 6.44 to 1 instead of 6.72 to 1 like the M35's. You could put any gear set you want each of them. Aslo you pressurize the hub if you wanted to. It's not impossible, just not easily done. That would...

Newbie Needs Input On Upcoming Project...

no nothing seals in the truck... I made the mistake of leaving some boots in my truck last night when it rained and they were soaked this morning. So nothing seals is true.

I know the hood is longer I thought perhaps they extended the cab a bit too... I guess not... Well you could cut of the back and and some to the cab???

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

The V903 785cid series engine barely fits into the M123A1C as it is the hood is about the same size as the 5ton's hood. I don't think the engine will even fit into the M35 truck. Besides I'm not that keen on that engine it had a lot of head problems. I think I would rather have the 12V71 if I...

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

Yeah the DT 466 is pretty much the diamond standard in medium duty engines. I think it would be an excellent choice and older non-electronic models are pretty cheap to purchase. I don't really want to give up my engine however, you can always use a spare. I think I'll just buy a junker...

Why do i need a deuce? Cause their sweet!

I've driven big trucks: Oshkosh plow trucks, FWD's Walter trucks... All trucks that top out 40mph. This is the biggest truck I own that is my own truck. I don't have CDL but for years I've been begging and burrow trips in large snowplow trucks in the area under the guise of potential buyer. And...

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

I'm leaning towards the IH too, for cost and availability of parts. I hear that Cat is not going to make engines for trucks this year or something to that effect. I sort of want to stay in the 7L size range just so I can say I have 7.6 liters under the hood... If I could figure out how to put a...

no funny is going to get pants at a store with a 27 inch inseam. That's what I love about the M35A2 it is like the designer was my height and hated tall people too boot. The seat and all the controls are exactly where I would have put them in a truck for easy reach. I've been in other trucks...

    Bad Deuce engine?

Yeah I would say it is a valve issue or possibly an issue in the injector pump... Either way the truck was abused for sure.

    Bad Deuce engine?

Yes, fording kits are cool... but I think if it is between a fording kit and air lockers I would have taken the air lockers if I had been the US military.

Is that an air to air or air to water type intercooler? I'm looking for an air to water type myself.

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

    So the original Gear Box looks like this gear ratio wise. 1st 5.02 to 1.00 2nd 2.72 to 1.00 3rd 1.68 to 1.00 4th 1.00 to 1.00 5th .79 to 1.00 The new gearbox I want to put in it has the following gear ratios. 1st 7.05 to 1.00 2nd 4.13 to 1.00 3rd 2.59 to 1 .00 4th 1.59 to...

I plan on putting an intercooler on any new engine I put into the truck. I was thinking of moving the air cleaner outside on the passenger side fender like M54.

Why do i need a deuce? Cause their sweet!

From my experience with the truck, the manuals seem to be right on, about the capabilities of the truck. I don't think they are lying or under estimating the capabilities of the truck at all. The truck is frankly underpowered in most conditions. Unless you really abuse the truck (something I...

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

Sort of wanted the Electronic direct injection system myself. I'm thinking the same thing that international will be the cheaper engine in the long run.
