I think I want to swap out my Multifuel engine for a newer better Diesel engine. Right now the two contenders are the Cat C7 230hp model with 620ft-lbs of torque and the International DT-466 with 255Hp and 660ft-lbs of torque. Of course with this upgrade I will need to upgrade the transmission...
How's the Snow in Binghamton this year? I miss the snow of Upstate New York... I want to get back to the Snow snow soon... Louisville is too rainy for my tastes.
They absolutely did everything the manual says not to do a M35A2 in the mud. They over sped the engine; they rocked the truck back and fourth in the mud bad for the drive train; they possible got water into the intake from the angle of attack they used in entering the mud. Basically...
I love shooting but I only shoot targets. I want to build a .338-416Riby Improved with a 46inch barrel on a custom action with 12inch barrel clamp. I figure the combination with 300 Sierra MK is good for 3300-3500fps roughly and about 2200m max range. I figure the gun, should be great for long...
5'6.5" inches my M35A2 cab is spacious and roomy.... The only problem I have is reaching the right hand mirror when necessary to adjust it. And Stop Lights I have to duck down to see around the air-motors for the windshield wipers other than that the truck is perfect... But then I am 5'6.5" I...
The Operator's manual says start in first; so, I start in first gear. It lugs too much in second gear starting off from a dead stop. And for down shifting on the highway, well if I'm on flat or slightly undulating areas then no I don't down shift at all. I just run it up to 50-52mph before the...
Sounds pretty nice to me 365hp and 900ft-lbs of torque cannot be all bad. I mean it is a little underpowered but it isn't grossly underpowered like the standards of the NHC-250 or LDT-465 is in the M809 or M35 trucks. It seems like a nice truck... I wouldn't mind one. But I would like a 10sp...
I'm 5'6.5" at best and I find the truck's windshield wiper gets in my way when I'm too close to a Stop light. I have to do duck down to see the green light. As for the rest I don't find any problems.
The clutch doesn't seem to need that much pressure to me. Pesonally, I would take the CDL in California because I'm thinking about Berkley for Graduate School. So I plan on getting a CDL soon.
I'm being serious there is no way you can do any real work on a truck once it has a major component failure so you better have a plan for removal that includes towing.
Wow... everyone wants to cut the rear tandems down to a single axle ... I must be the only one who wants to put a third drive axle in the Deuce so it has more traction four axles all with 395/85R 20's with ARB Air Lockers. Now that is what I call a truck... Add a 3116 Cat to the mix and new 6sp...
