Why not put out a call for a member to pick up the unit, and store it till you can work out shipping. Uship came through for us on an out of town deal.
I believe it relates to the cold. Ours did the all flash one other time (the day we got it). Drove it the same distance to a friends shop in 17 degree weather. It was cycling...then all flashed, dropped the pressure in the front tires, then filled back up. It was fine for the next 45 days or so...
Tread lightly. I noticed the similar symptoms in our 1078. CTIS was cycling and I took it out at about 12 degrees. It was about 1 mile from the shop and it cut loose. Gear oil shot out of diff seal like a exploding water balloon, the guy behind me said. At that moment CTIS did an all flash...
Found the TM 9-2320-365-34-2 chapters 9 and 10 for the carrier swap. It claims the chunk weighs 400lbs? Is that right? I cant see how. The ones I have coming buy freight weight in at less then half. Also were did you gentlemen source your inner and outer axle seals at?

That statement shows you have not driven an LMTV. Upon the first bridge bump I drove across, ours handled the large expansion joint like pontoon boat on a 1 foot swale. Kinda like a Lincoln Continental over a speed bump. Far from a hay wagon ride of the old school CO`s
I'm a new LMTV owner here. I have been looking and wanting to buy a nice 5 ton and bob it for over a year, but could never get what I wanted locally. The LMTV's caught my attention in a auction a year ago in Ft Drum, but none of them ran, however they did go for well over 12K if I remember...
This has been an interesting thread. It is odd how things work in planning for life's hick-cups. Our power regularly went out, but since we bought an 802 a year ago, we have not needed the MEP once. We bought in, and lucked out on our 802 through GL for $850 then bought an other with a reset...
