especially after I slather it with Paint and raptor bedliner! Much better construction on this that a normal bed. Plus any dents can easily be removed with the proper application of a hammer. Quick squirt of paint and it's good as new.
Planning on a low profile fuel cell moved into the bed. Hide it with a tool box. Then I will either fabricate or try to find a couple boxes for the sides for added storage and to cover the frame. Thought about building a rack on each side to house 4 50 cal ammo cans. Almost like a shelf with...
I am actually puling the floor mat out of my 1031. Looking to go with Lizard skin sound deadner and cover it with Raptor bedliner material. Should be sound deadning and tough. 300 seems like alot to me for a floor matt, even an insulated one.
second that. Mine still has the stock filter and base setup. Replaced filter recently because it was leaking something horrible. Most fuel related problems go back to the fuel filter. Doing some upgrades and this will be on the top of the list.
On this truck the front and rear spacers were 3-3/4 inches long and made from schedule 80 tubing with a very larger 3/4 fender washer on top and bottom. Think body lift puck. It was actually quite simple as the "ribs" in the floor of the trailer line up perfectly with the holes that mount the...
That is a big dang truck! Wonder how wobbly it is on the road with all that weight up top? Little more than I want to go, but very nice looking truck none the less.
thanks for the pics! I am thinking that one of the 1031's is about to have a 101 bed. The I can take the 1031 contact bed and mount it to the 101 frame and have a contact maintenence trailer........I feel like Hanibal Smith. I love it when plan comes together....
I am picking up 2 101 trailers next week sometime and had a thought about using one as a bed. First example would be for those who have a 1031 and want a regular bed on the back? Would someone mind measuring the 101 trailer and posting the actual dimensions? I think it would look great. The...
That's what I want to see! I have seen exactly zero. Most are like me, in the process of gathering parts to do it, but havn't gotten anywhere yet. I am heading in that direction regardless. i am getting my tires/wheels this weekend. My intention is to get them on there with as little lift...
Been driving my 1031 a good bit and everything functions fine. Question is, above my heater controls there is an amperage guage with a momentary pushbutton next to it. Guage reads zero all the time. I thought maybe it had something to do with the generator in the back so I engaged the PTo and...
dually front allows you to run the H1's without spacers front or rear. Nice thinking. I am most likely gonna run dually hubs on the front and spacers on the rear to get my H1's on there. Don't know about the shackle flip in the rear for me. I plan to tow a little with it and have not heard...
