Thanks, Josh! My DD Jeep did OK at the rally (almost made one of the Dave's roll his M1009 twice while following me) but it's just not the same as a CUCV!
I'm finally getting another MV (I've been without for the last year). I'm flying in to pick it up in northern VA and then driving it back to the Indianpolis area. Most of the trip will be along I-70, and the truck will be registered/insured before the trip. Here are some pictures and info on...
Haspin Videos on Youtube
I didn't take a single picture, but I have a few short videos for you.

I'm still in-between MV's but I'm planning to come at least for Saturday in my civi daily driver / wheeler. It doesn't have OD green paint but it has front and rear lockers, so I should be able to keep up.
I'm going to try to come Friday night and then leave Saturday night.

Looks like the detour is to take Highway 3 from Rushville down to 244, then back over to 52. So, I'm thinking I may just go the I-74 route (or something).
I'm picking up a Uhaul car trailer at 8am and I will leave whenever I am done loading and securing my little 4x4 and other not-ready-for-Haspin stuff (and saying goodbye to the kids). It will probably be after you're already on your way.
Last two trips to Haspin I went down I-74 to 244 and...
I'll be underway in the morning (sometime) and should arrive in the early afternoon. Anybody know if US 52 is clear from Indy to Laurel? I think that's the way I'm going to go.
Welcome to tractor heaven! Whenever you go to title it you shouldn't have any issues at the IN BMV. They'll have to look up the full name for BMY (forget what it is) and they will look up your model.
Then they'll charge you an obscene amount of $$$ since it's not old enough for historic plates!
Here are a couple of pics and videos of my truck in the snow. Videos are linked to photobucket.com

If you purchased a "runner" then they will start the truck and drive it around to the exit for you.
If it is below freezing when you pick it up make sure to check the air system out before your trip. My air dryer isn't working the best and I have a problem with moisture in the lines. There is...
So today I pulled the rest of the mushroom cap off and took it for a drive. My vacuum gauge still climbs up to 3/4 of the way.
I already checked my filter and it is brand new. I might do a really short no-filter run to see if my gauge still reads high.
I pulled the cone-shaped thing in the picture off tonight and took the truck for a cruise. The cone-shaped thing is separate from the mushroom cap, so I left the mushroom cap on (it has larger holes in it, so I figured it would have less restriction).
Vacuum gauge still went up 3/4 of the way...
Hey Parker, I know how you feel wanting a military rig. I joined this site about a year and a half before getting my first MV.
I currently have a m932a2, but I have never pulled a trailer with it and never plan to (I'll be putting a shortened bed on back). What I can tell you is that I don't...
I'm planning to remove it to do anything to it (and verify it's my restriction point). My main concern is removing the CARC paint, but maybe when I pull it off and get it in my garage I'll have a bright idea moment of clarity and figure it out. I think my starting point will be a wire brush...
My ether system isn't working either, and I have a question on using a spray can of ether (regular automotive starting fluid). Is there a safe way to use hand-sprayed starting fluid on an A2? Does the turbo complicate anything? My idea is to just remove air filter and fog intake there. Will...
Old thread, but I have similar issue!
I know this thread is older, but I'm having a similar issue. I don't have any power issues or excessive black smoke, but my vacuum gauge in the intake will climb fairly high when the turbo is fully spooled up driving down the road. If I reset the gauge at...
I finally got around to checking my AWD today. I followed the procedure outlined earlier in this thread (started truck, built full air pressure, made sure parking brake was set [then chocked the wheels just to be on the safe side], jacked up one front tire).
My front driveshaft spun when in...
