Whats the difference? Other than one is every where and one is unavailable?
My trans/transfer is producing a whine in high 4-5th gears but not in low range ( leads me to believe its a TC problem) I should have never put a muffler on!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead...
I just covered the box roof, bumper top and fender tops on my M185 with the roll on bed liner stuff. I'm hoping that it will offer some water proofing to the roof seams, here are some pics:
I have just painted my Duce and I would like to have the correct markings on the truck. Does any one know the best way to do this? ( paint / decals ) I have a flat finish paint will the decals work? Can you get the decals in a flat finish? Thanks ~ Pappa-G

4 Wheel steering- [thumbzup] Very Cool, I saw a half finished M37 with a Mopar 440 and 727 automatic. He was putting in hydraulic steering fron a combine. Alot of project left to do all for a $2000.00 entry fee. More than I want to get into. ~ Pappa-G
Mine is a knife type. Not so much as an antitheft device but as a antidead battery device. I've been thinking of putting in a marine type selector switch and run another set of batteries for the rear and flame heater. That way I could run the one set down and not worry about not starting...
I installed my the Napa muffler today - Huge difference!! I had a 5' length of pipe on before. but I cut the original pipe off @ 6" above the fender put on the muffler and shortened the 5 footer down to 3 foot and saved money by not having to purchase a intercom! [thumbzup] ~Pappa-G
I'm doing some work on my M185 and am going to cover the box roof with the doit yourself version. I saw it today for @ 45$ for 3.66 gallons, enough for 100 sq ft.. They also had it available in spray cans. I used two to cover the roof seams and rivits ( and patch repairs and holes) It goes on...
[:(!] Well it's good to hear that someone (other than my wife) is getting lucky. I've got a great set of arms on with no blades :banghead: [complaining] :banghead: I'll hit up napa tomorrow. Thanks for the info. ~ Pappa-G
My truck also does this. It will drain the batteries after a couple of days. I put a lever type disconnect switch between the batteries and havent had a problem since(it also doubles as a theft deterrent). Let me know if you find the short. ~ Pappa-G [thumbzup]
I've run JP8/JetA in my M185. The only difference you will notice is the slight drop in power. For all practical purposes JP8 and JetA are identical, they are some 90% kerosene and the remainder is napatha (according to the MSDS) Most Army aviation units that I know of use JP8 in all thier stuff...
I had won a heater for a duce on E-Bay from Spunkysmotorpool and I sent over a dozen e-mails and finally got their phone number and was fed a line of," the computer is down and so forth." So I gave them another week and never did get a total due for the heater. So I did the negative feedback...

This link might help you out with your mix ratios. Keep up the good work!! [thumbzup] ~Pappa-G
I could have called this "rear studs" but it didnt sound politically correct.
When running just one tire on the back axels do you need to use something other than the stud/nut or would you get more front wheel nuts and use them?? Help me I'm being oppressed~ Pappa-G
If you aren't sure which one is in your truck, put a add a couple of drops from the master cylinder to a cap fo known fluid. Like fluids will mix, dissimular fluids will "bead". [thumbzup] ~ Pappa-G
My M185 is 130.1" high and a M35 is 112.0" high, 278.3" long and 97.8" wide and has an empty weight of 13,720 lbs. (thats with winch weight. If no winch subtract 520 lbs.)
Now if you want you can reduce the hight to 81" by removing the top fold the windshield remove the mirrors and exhaust...
