I was planning on running a power to ign. I would imagine they are but I figured I'll ask. Are the lines near the tank steel also? I am not near the 1008 right now and its wet out otherwise I'd look.
Ether or, I'd assume. I think he was talking about getting some split rims from someone he knows. I'm not sure what my roommate is looking for, and he isn't home right now so I cant ask. But he has 1600x20's.
Yeah ULSD, egr, cats, and DPF's suck the life out of diesels. but even a 2005 Powerstroke or Cummins will get a lot better mpg's than the same year Dmax. But all the newest ones get about 13-15 (Cummins gets the best). If you cut the particulate filter off you get a crap load more power and...
A friend of mine has a 1968 Kaiser 5 ton. He bought six 52 inch Goodyears, now he just needs wheels. Wheres the best place to get some, or does anyone have 6 wheels he could buy???
DieselJeep, the only thing wrong with your current truck is that its a Duramax. Most of the newer ones get awful mpg. I've heard on average, low teens without hauling, 9-10 hauling.
I was thinking...could I use a univ. low-pressure electric pump instead of the diaphragm/mechanical pump and just leave the old pump bolted to the engine?? A single bypass surgery.
Ok, I put the new hose on there. Leaks even worse than before, I'm pretty sure its the seam on the case or one of the fittings on the bottom. So....I guess I'll have to get a new transfer pump. I guess its only $22 at napa.
I have no idea where the leak is coming from. I was out looking for it, running it, looking up and down for it. But I can't tell. Just seeping out of somewhere. I decided to go with the cheap fix first and get a 1' section of fuel hose and 2 clamps. I'm putting it on tomorrow, so we'll see.
Yeah thats it. The rubber hose is where the leaks at. I'll have to check this weekend...maybe the hose clamp is a little loose...otherwise here we go with more air bleeding...
