Amazon = $67.21 but they're temporarily out of stock.
WBDS = $100.21 currently 2 in stock
Those are the only other sources I could find. I'm going to watch the Amazon site to see if they restock. I won't be able to order it for another 2 weeks or so.
The more I get into this truck, the more I...
Should the entire shaft be smooth where the main seal sits? There shouldn't be a ridge anywhere on there right? I got my rear main and housing off today and there's a decent sized ridge on the crank. However, it feels raised and not worn INTO the crank. That's what has me wondering?
That's what I thought, but I didn't want to go prying on it if that wasn't the right way. I have it all unbolted, the actual removal had me held up. Well, now bad weather has me stalled. I have a good paved driveway, but nothing over top of the truck.
In your situation, sounds like if you have the means, it'd be best to convert them. If you didn't already have the wheels, I'd say buying them would be best.
I ordered a new disk from OD Iron, along with my rear main seal. I was hoping I could get in there and just replace the disk. Everything else looks ok; pilot, throwout, seals, etc.
I won't have my parts in time. I found a flywheel and pressure plate locally for $150, good take out parts. However, I won't be able to pick them up until Thursday. If, that's a big if, I can get it together Thursday night/Friday morning... then I'll take it to the shoot.
You're a week early! I would have met you there if you called. I was off work all day yesterday. I have a few rounds I want to put through my CZ pistol.
I think there was a thread on this exact topic about a week ago.
In hindsight, I don't think it was a thread. Someone did post pictures of 5-ton wheels modified for the Deuce. I can't find it though.
I'll be sure to check the crank. Wouldn't have though about it if I wouldn't have read your thread. I may need a sleeve, seems like everything else on this truck needs replaced :|
That's a good idea in theory, but I don't know how realistic it is. I'd like to get a 5t tractor, but the major thing holding me back is it's limited use.
Can you get a picture with the wheel/tire combo from the front of the truck. I wonder how much of the tire sticks out past the fender.
Also, did you widen the wheels at all? Or is it just flipped centers?
