Ha Ha, The way my back has been feeling, my truck is still loaded from the 2012 SSGR. All I have to do is buy 18 Gallons of ATF and I'm already to go for the 2013 SSGR
While it would be an improvement, who is going to be willing to go back through the 1000's of threads in the CUCV forum and move them over. It would have been better if it had been in from the beginning. Search will suck because it you actually limit your search to the specific CUCV Mod forum...
I can't believe I missed this thread!!!
I made it home safe and sound after 17 hours on the road, $350 in fuel and $118 in ATF!
I think it was about 640 miles but at 50 MPH or less, and stopping every 1/2 hour to add ATF (At least a quart, more once I hit the hills in NC, VA, WV and Ohio) it...
Dug,
I never did figure it out because you know how it is on any forum, you get conflicting advice, and who do you believe. I would suggest, after you pull the tunnel covers, put the transmission and both gears and see which one pulls the shaft in.
Steve,
I need to hijack this thread from you. I have to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Jerry and to Eric and Amy. Eric and Amy stuck with me the whole long slow way to I-81 in VA, while they could have been going well over 70, they stayed with me going 50 or less and getting covered in ATF the...
Got my gear ready to go. Go home after work and throw it in the cab of the truck, put some adult beverages inthe mermite and ice them down and I'm rolling for GA. Hoping to be on the road by 0130.
You are probably disconnecting the wrong wires. The two wires you are to disconnect shouldn't trip the DC breaker. Did you open the side box and visually inspect the DC bridge board and equipment in that box?
From the looks of that truck, he's gonna need all the bolts he can get.
Bring one big one to tighten up the loose nut behind the steering wheel :cookoo:
Got the majority of the stuff I plan to bring packed up today. Tomorrow morning I will be getting my personal stuff ready to roll, and with any luck, be ready to pull out when I get home from work tuesday night.
All of you already on the road, drive safe!!!!
Why not just buy the correct tool for the job. What you need is called a "Torque Adapter". The link provided is about $20 or so, I'm sure if you shopped around you can find one much cheaper. Proto J5128 Torque Adapter.
I highly doubt that it's the linkage or the stop solenoid. Why would either of these allow it to start with the throttle pushed in, but not with it out where it belongs???? The problem the OP is talking about doesn't seem to have anything to do with any part of the control system...again, the...
This morning, I got my tow bar and all of the grease packed up in the truck. I didn't think I was gonna have room for the grease and my camping gear along with 2 spare tires, but I think it will all fit pretty well. I'll be stacked to the ceiling, but it should fit. Tomorrow, I'm gonna load...
Use the search function (advanced serach and limiting the results to the aux equipment forum will cut down unwanted results) and read through the threads in the Aux Equipment forum. This topic has been covered to death.
Also, there are too many variables involved in your request to give an...
You need to find out if you are really not generating anything or not. From what you just described of your generator, you can't trust the outlet for the source of your test. The little breaker could be bad, the outlet might not even be wired up or a whole host of other issues could be...
I think it's time for people to start paying attention to Mike's (SCSG-G4) posts....he needs a driver or there will be no or limited food at the rally!!!!!!
If I didn't have a very large matching set of Oxy and acetylene tanks, I probably would too. It's hard to part with the acetylene tank cause the big ones are hard to come by...as luck would have it, I wound up with 4 complete sets.
