I went after the big Ice storm there were lots of trees and branches down over the roads and trails...but a deuce might make short work of a few limbs down on a trail.
I never messed with the brakes or fluid. I just changed the Hydroboost. the only fluid lost would be the power steering fluid that runs the Hydroboost. I don't think I have any air or water in the system. I think all the air would have worked its way out of the power steering lines after...
Ok the Hydroboost has been in now for a month and the peddle is kind of hard. I have to apply more force to stop than my old Hydroboost.
I am wondering about the gas charged device on the Hydroboost. What if its bad? anyway to test? Do you think this is why my new hydroboost is harder to...
My truck revved real high then shifted hard. It would shift into second gear at 35mph..
Anyway I replaced ALL the rubber vacuum lines and it fixed the shifting problems. Not just the one to the trans but the ones by the injector pump back. Shifts great now.
I thought about buying a rebuild kit but I found the unit for $82 bucks at auto zone. I also started wondering about the nitrogen gas thing on the Hydroboost. How does that work? what if it goes bad? can you replace it? If you take the Hydro boost apart does it let the gas Out? will it...
You guys are going to get mad at me... but I put some course ground black pepper(2 or 3 table spoons) in my radiator 6 months ago and it stopped that little drip in my radiator. I have not had a drip since. But Im also the guy that put a 2X4 under the passenger seat bracket to keep it from...
, just a small 1/4" puncture spot.
Ok I just read this thread and I am wondering if your 35 inch tires are too big for the vehicle (is it lifted) and maybe your punctures are from the fenders hitting your front tires when you turn and bottom out hard.... Just a theory.
I bought a new Hydro Boost unit from AutoZone. $82 bucks. It was an easy install. Thanks to you guys.
I have another question???? My peddle seems a Little stiffer than before. Is that normal or do you think I still have air in the lines. I turned the wheel left to right a few times, drove it...
This forum post is great. I made a 400 mile trip to get another m1009 only to find that my vehicle would not fit on the U-haul trailer I had reserved..... I was going to flat tow it but I chickened out.... Because It was all mountain driving and envisioned 2 CUCV tied together with a tow...
do some searching on here... look up "fuel filter" and fuel pressure switch. I found out how to fix the all to common problem of a leaky fuel pressure switch. It was letting air into the system causing my rig to start then die then It was out of fuel till I cranked and cranked.... air in the...
I used another quick fix method I found from someone on here. I tried to replace the gasket in my leaky fuel pressure switch..did'nt work.
I didnt have time to sit around and wait for a new filter base to come in the mail. No part stores had them.... I needed to go deer hunting.
So I took the...
My tranny was shifting hard at High rpms... I replaced the hoses that were broken now the transmission seems like it shifts softer at lower rpms.... Is that good?
I went to Home depot and boughyt the 1/4 tap and screw. I tapped the hole and put lock tight on the screw. Oh and I took off the fuel line and got my air compressor hose and blew out the port so that I didnt get metal shavings in my injectors.
Then I bled and sarted it... So far so good, Now...
