I am going to do the 1/4 tap and plug method as a temp fix.

kennyw your such a party pooper.... Yes I am going to weld the sheet metal... This forum is for quick fixes. I think the 2X4 is a pretty clever Idea. I hammered it in and it locked the seat in place. No more wiggling.

My 1009 does the same thing. Starts for a few seconds, then runs out of fuel because there is air in the system. I open the hood and open the bleeder valve on my fuel filter. start it for a few second, and it bleeds the air out of the filter, then I shut the valve after some fuel has bled out...

This helps me too. I have been FREEKING OUT! for the last 2 days since I read about DOT 5 , drained my MC reervior, have been researching all the posts..... I just realized something. I have had a mixture of d3 and d5 in my MC for 3 years and have had no problems with the braking system.

I had a Dot 3 / Dot 5 stew in my master cylinder. I Love this site. I had no Idea about the DOT 5 fluid until I got here. Maybe the sheriff Dept, or the Oil change guys...or me put Dot 3 in the MC I dont know but I put it in a jar and it was a wierd emulsion. Anyway the big question is...
