    Exploding M1009 spare

Tires are designed and built to rot. I got my little old lady aunt's oldsmobile with 7000 miles on it. 11 years old...Good year tires 1/2 inch of tread cracks all in the sidewalls from dry rot. I replaced all the tires. The American way is called "Built in obsolescence" Build it to bust...

    strange fuel problem

I think it is the fuel line letting in air. I found a little 3 inch rubber connecting hose in my fuel line as it was coming up the frame to the pump. I dont know why it is there but what if it had a crack in it and was sucking air into the system. If you are bleeding air out of the top of your...

Fuel Pressure Switch and Hard Starting CUCV

Dog head said it stuinnh... I have to agree that the "fuel pressure" has nothing to do with your truck not starting due to "fuel pressure" .... It only collects data for a plug in STE-ICE computer. BUUUUT when it goes bad like mine did it lets AIR get into the fuel system. Its not lack of...

What is little canister under dash?

If its "Y"shaped you might have one of the special equipped flux capacitors that allows the cucv to time travel back to the 1980s when your truck was new...Mine is disconnected.... Ok just kidding. My guess is that he might be talking about the starter relay but that has 4 wires and one is purple.

    Battery move

I got a sharpie and marked the battery cables + and - so that I wouldn't mess anything up... but it didn't help, I turned the batteries a couple of times to get the best fit and of course the cable I grabbed I touched it to the wrong pole and got a big spark! I am so glad I didnt cook anything...
