Yes the milage sound about right! the glow plugs would not know when there needed if not for the temp sender! they are good engines if you maintain them and don't over rev them they don't like the abuse!
Just a thought you seem to have changed everything else that would cause the problem! Not sure what the run out should be . I would guess about .015 will need to check that
There are spring clips on the top edge of the door panel under the window felt they bend sometimes there are like 4 or 5 across the window with the window all the way down you can pull the clips loose you may need to straighten them to put them back on you will see or know when you see them how...

With My many years on the Fire Dept/Rescue have seen the bad things that can happen when things being pulled come unhooked! I Think you can not be to careful when towing something this way! THANKS FOR BEING A SPAZ!

Yes the optima yellow top batteries are great batteries I have optima's in everything m1028,mud bogg truck,pulling truck and daily driver cost a bit but are worth the money![thumbzup]
