Why do you need $200.00 worth of batteries? Get two of the cheapest car batteries you can find. Trust me, the starter doesn't give a crap if it is 6TL's powering it or 2 wal-mart specials. 24 volts is 24 volts.

Cut the wire from the "box" at the fuel pump and remove it. The fuel pump will work fine without it. You already know that is the problem, and that should solve it.

I don't think your plunger is going to help you out much. If the plunger were the problem (IE: stuck, broken, getting stuck with heat) it probably won't not run at all. The more likely culprit is going to be the stopper rod...maybe the rod is hanging up inside the IP, or the linkage is not...

Gimpy or Kipman usually help out in situations like these. I could probably get it for you if they can't get to it in time. How heavy are the items and what might we be trying to load out for you?

Is this a joke or have you actually done something to get it to start when hot? If so, what did you do because it might help determine what is wrong if you devised a way to get it running.
