I believe i have a bad sending unit. the gauge goes from o to 240 in an instant after 5 minutes of hills. i checked the block with an ir gun and it read 170-180 which i am told is normal.
Is it ok to run the deuce with a bad sending unit? will coolant still flow? and what is the proper sending...
i agree i dont really see breaking anything in soft mud at low speed and with a big bulldozer to pull me out. i just wanted to do something fun before i go to the military academy.
I was driving my deuce today with my friends everything was going well did not notice anything unusual. but i just happened to look at the temp gauge and it was at or above 240. i don't remember seeing it jump or that my engine was acting differently. i slowly crept home and checked the coolant...
I was reading engine specs at this website M-SERIES 2 1/2 TON TRUCK SPECS and i saw one that said bad engine. I was wondering what is so bad about this engine and how do you tell what you got. I believe mine is Hercules.
