I'm just curious if anybody could identify the unit markings on my M1009. The only thing I can really find on it is the number "UO22" stenciled on the front and rear. Its black lettering on a white background on the lpassenger side of the tailgate and on the passenger side of the front bumper...
I just installed 60G's and they work GREAT! Truck starts like a charm with a cold engine. I don't know about "upgraded" plugs but these seem to work pretty well.
The old plugs were 13G's and were still good. I figured I'd rather replace now than wait until I had a problem down the road.
Perfect. I was just worried that I'd damage by overfilling.
The truck only has 26,000 miles on it, and the gear oil that came out looked like vintage 1984...
I just changed the fluid in my rear differential. According to the LO the rear 10-bolt should take 5.4 pints of 80/90. I got almost, but not quite, 5 pts in before the new GO started coming back out of the fill plug. At this point its closed back up, but am I going to have problems if I leave...
I'm interested in adding a similar rear cargo-area light in my '09 as well. :jumpin:
Couple question:
Where did you pull power from?
Any details on how you routed it up into the shell?
Is that light fixture from a civy blazer, or did you find an aftermarket that fit perfectly?
Thanks!
Sorry....plastic things? I'm not sure which part you are talking about. I've been around trucks plenty, but this is my first Blazer.
Is this something I can find a replacement for?
I don't know too much about bodywork, so I hope this isn't a stupid question...
From the pictures attached, is this tailgate repairable, or should I just be looking for replacement? I haven't had a chance to take it to a shop, and figured I get some "educated opinions" before potentially...
How much arch should the front leaf springs have? I haven't really paid any attention to them before (enough other stuff to keep me occupied).
Today while under the truck I noticed that there isn't any arch in them at all. The sit pretty much flat all the way across. Is this normal, or are...
This explains why the front left marker would come on whenever the brake pedal was pressed! My concern is why the wires were shorted together with this device in the first place. Is there any reason that you can think of this would have been done?
Thank for all your input on this (and other)...
I've been experiencing this problem since I've had my M1009. What happens is that when I hit the brakes, the front-left marker light illuminates (along with the brake lights).
Today while poking around in the engine compartment I noticed one of those wire-tap things clipped between 2 wires on...
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the problem stayed put.....looks like the relay isn't the issue. Unfortunately I think the gauge may be kaput!
When I have time I'll just pull the harness of the gauge itself and check for voltage. If I get ~24V across the gauge harness then the wiring is...
I am looking for the relay bolted to the metal plate with the starter relay, correct? There are 2 relays (besides the starter one) on that plate. Neither of them has a white wire going to it.
I've looked at both of those sockets earlier today. I can't really tell easily which is which (since...
I need a little troubleshooting advice...
My Voltmeter died today. I drove about 5 miles and everything was totally in the green. Went inside the store for a few minutes and when I got back in to head home the gauge was totally off / dead.
Per the -20 TM, the VM relay should have a White...
Since the LMC mat is not looking like a good option, does anybody have a suggestion for an alternative rubber-type covering that would allow the installation of some sound deadening? I have no plans of making this a "quiet" truck, but would like to be able to actually talk to passengers while...
How much POR15 did it take to do the floor (one side)? That stuff is expensive and I don't want to pay for any more than necessary!
EDIT: Too bad about the LMC mat. I may not bother if its going to be that much work. Maybe I'll just look for a decent "military" replacement....
Has anybody installed the polyvinyl floor mat that LMC Truck sells for the Blazer? My original rubber floormat was literally falling apart so I just donated it to the weekly trash pickup.
My original thought was just to use a "spray-in" type bedliner material in the truck, but after seeing the...
OK...one more question about this.....
I wired into one of those "accessory" plugs that I circled in the attached picture. I ran wire (with an inline fuse) from the Fuse Block to the lighter position, and then ran a ground wire from a chassis ground to the lighter position.
I decided to test...
Is it safe to fun extra accessories off these? Like I said I'm mainly interested in running a CB and a 12V accessory plug. I don't anticipate ever pulling more than ~10A tops.
I intend to use an inline fuse on each line to prevent "mishaps".
