Only timing mark is on the flange outside, above the top bolt that holds it on the engine. Looks like a deep scratch. It will only bolt to the gear in one way. The holes and the dowell pin make sure of that

i do like some of the features that the a3 already has. but, the a2 has outlasted the a3 by a long shot. they must have had a reason for keeping them the same for all those years. and one must wonder, was the change due to the fact that there are a lot more of the younger generation that cannot...

i stuck the 600 watt in the upper plug, and have had no problems. it does warm the entire block, and makes starting a whole lot easier at -4.

you will also have to enlarge the hole in the fender for the exhaust, and get the bigger cover flange.
