westfolk, i stuck mine in the upper hole, i just could not convince myself that the impeller on the water pump would not hit the heating element, but it does very well there.

M35a2 with winch, heater, hard top, cargo cover, and c turbo. The only reason I can come up with is, when you own the best, nothing else will do.

Another thing you have to check is the water pump, changing to serpentine will also change direction the pump turns on almost all settups that I have. Which means you will have to get a 6.5 pump, and then you can either buy the new backing plate, the plate the water pump bolts to, or weld up one...

you really do not need the tm for this. the tag on the engine, i believe on the passenger side, tells you what to set the gap at. i don't remember off hand, but just be sure that you set the exhaust at their specs, and the intake at their specs, as they are different, if i recall.

no leaks would lead me to believe it is only the paint.

Which do you prefer, the intake heater, or the ether starting system, and why? I have had a few of both, just wondering what everyone thinks.:roll:

Low IP pressure can also cause this problem. An easy way to check pressure is to just turn up pressure while at idle and see if miss goes away. Low pressure will cause fuel to glob in instead of mist.

it can be done, no question asked. I have towed a semi haulling two trailers before. Only had to go around 3 hundred miles, but no problems. But i would still put the car in the trailer, or have someone ride up with you and they could drive the car back.

after changing filters does it idle when you first start the truck cold? if not, turn the pump up 1 flat and retry. if not try again. if not now, clean and check for leaks. also make sure that your shut off is going in all the way.

kind of works like the drive for a jet sky. as the motor turns the impeller, it forces the fuel up the pickup tube.

had a 63 that was a gasser, but no o.d., would make a decent parts truck for the a2 though.
