Yes, that is the NSN for the DC regulator which is located under the cooling fan shroud. Again, it's not the DC regulator that will be damaged by idling the engine. The AC regulator does not like to have the engine at idle.

You might be confusing the DC regulator with the AC regulator. The DC regulator doesn't give 2 cents whether the engine is at idle or not...the AC regulator however certainly does care.
I have one of the Hunter Space Heater Arctic (SHA) stoves. Liquid fuel fired, or wood or coal, and totally self contained. The flue pipes are nested pipes and fit inside the stove for easy transport and storage. I would think that would be plenty big enough for a 16 x 16. They get HOT.

If it sounds like the engine is loading down then you definitely have a short somewhere in the generator. From the sound of it, it is just an intermittent one as it's coming and going every fer seconds. It could be in the output box, but more than likely it's something in the generator head.

You mentioned in an earlier post that you were going to re-use the original button on your new pump to flow time it? Did you do this, or just stick the pump on with the drill bit in the 1/8" hole?
It's possible that you could still have the pump off by one tooth on the gear. But...
