If there is anybody out there with an MEP-002a WITHOUT the ASK, I would love for you to use the same app and measurements to find out how much of a difference the ASK makes!!!!!!!!!!!
Found that part in the -24P manual and the NSN comes up as 4320-01-292-3660. Crossing that, one of the cage suppliers is "snap-tite" which is a division of Parker Hannifin Corp. I would take it to a local "Parker Store" and see what they can come up with if you have the original. It looks like...
possibly the hose from the filter casting to the gauge is plugged? Take the fitting off of the casting and see if it is open. Maybe try cranking it a bit with the hose off and see if oil comes out the opening. If not, you'll be pulling the oil pan to check the oil pump and pick-up
Yes, it is that simple.
The remote reservoir is more for the ease of checking and filling the fluid rather than giving extra "panic pushes" because if you have a catastrophic failure of the brakes, the pushes aren't going to do any good anyway.
most plastic reservoirs don't care if you use...
I see you must think I was talking about the OP when I asked this question. That is what it was, a question, not a complaint. The OP is not the first person on the board to buy a truck without a title (either knowingly or unwittingly). How does my making an question about anybody buying a...
Pappy,
I'm going to move this thread to the appropriate location (the deuce forum). You'll find you will get much better exposure and probably more concise answers if you look for and place your posts in a better location
I hope all works out well for you, but I will NEVER understand why someone would buy a vehicle without a title? Do people get caught up in the moment? Is the appeal of an MV that strong to make people put their heads up their butts before a purchase? I just don't get it.
If you have a 60 gallon tank, just use that as a secondary tank to increase your volume to 90 gallons. Once the tanks are both full, with a small pot blaster you should be able to do most of what you need to do. Trust me, you can blast with a smaller compressor (I did, and do with a 2 or 300#...
My quess is you'll find out pretty quickly after you do it. But I would have to say that the biggest reason is that the seals and such provisions do not make the truck water PROOF, rather water RESISTANT. Even with good seals on the axels and all of the proper pressure valves and such, I bet...
it will do blasting, but NOT very fast.
You will be surprised how fast you'll use up that volume of air with even a small blaster.
Also, it will run a good 3/4" or 1" impact pretty easily, but do yourself a favor and get high flow fittings. The "standard" 1/4" quick connect fittings that are...
when you say main switch...what are you talking about????
The main BREAKER or the reconnection SWITCH????
Short answer, the SWITCH can be disassembled and cleaned...although I would not advise it...it is a very complicated switch with a TON of wires. I would work it back and forth several...
The pucks look good, I would run it.
Don't leave out the possibility that the transmission input shaft could be your leaking oil. Mine never did it until after a few hours running almost WOT.
porky is correct, that is why the delete button was removed. I understand that some people were frustrated by the question, and maybe they phrased their response a bit harshly, but it's time for everybody to grow up a bit. There is no need for the attitudes. I realize that people don't want...
By all means let us know the shippers name, and if they do a good job for you. some business could go their way. They are not trying to vend their product without the vendors membership, and you are just relaying the hopefully positive experience you had with them. Nothing against the rules...
Excellent point Mike. I try to tell everybody not to direct bury any wire. It's not a matter of "if" you'll have a failure with t, it's a matter of "when". Cause it's gonna happen sometime.
Ike, another good idea. I just ran the voltage drop with 480 volts at 600 feet with a 7.5 amp load...
While it sounds like you are getting along with it ok as is. Think about planning to pull the transmission when time and money permit just for the peace of mind. Better to catch a bad clutch now than to wait until it takes out the pressure plate and flywheel.
