I was going to remove this part so I can clean up and paint the area behind it. I am questioning the need to re-install it though. Nothing was bolted to it and other than sliding under the lip on the dash I do not see anything it supports. What is it for and what if anything will I hurt if I do...
I just pulled and cleaned the tops of the filter housings so they are ready to re-install. I plan to wait until I can get the new spin on filters. I also blasted water through the main and return lines. Then blew them out with compressed air. I got a bunch of crap out of the lines.
Is there...
I just pulled the filters. They are nasty inside. The housing are coated in rust or what ever that gunk is. Now I am really worried about the IP and injectors.
It looks like I will get the lift pump bench tested tomorrow. If it works I will clean it up real nice. Then I will start adressing the parts further up the fuel line. I am worried about the IP and injectors.
Thanks, I will find a place to get that stuff around here.

The arm on the...
Can you say, icky? This is what I have to work with. Any thoughts or ideas on how to clean them up before I start spraying stuff on them? Also, is there a coating I can get to apply to the clean and bare metal i will have when I am doen that will resist the fuel. used oil, and what ever else I...
Now that is good to hear. The next time I have some time off that is first on my priority list. I am trying to rais the money for all new spin on filters, I would hate to have to buy a sending unit as well.
I was wondering why the deuces I had in the past does not have all that behind the battery box. It looked as though the fuel lines ran to it. I am glad you cleared that up for me. This truck is different in a lot of ways compared to the older models I have owned.
That is a helpful video...
