So, if i put the pump on last night, i assume i'll have to take it all apart, again, get a new gasket and redo the entire job?! Uggg.
Thanks for the feedback...not what i wanted to hear, of course. Beers on me. Come on over.
I swear, I am about to start drinking again. Maybe pick up smoking this time, too!
I finally got my new AC Delco fuel pump number 43254 installed, almost.
I have the bolts in and the rubber fuel hose attached, but the metal fuel pump I cannot get the nut/male threaded end to attach to the...
No...mine would cold start fine and then after running it for 30 mins, shutting it off, coming back 20 mins later, it won't start. I would run down the battery trying to start it, get a jump start, and it would start again.
This has happened a couple of times lately. I was thinking it might be...
I parked my '84 m1009 in a new position on my driveway last night, with the nose pointing down the driveway (down hill). Today i see a big, new puddle under the front of the engine on the driveway. (New driveway...my wife really loves my "project truck"!)

I have tried every trick I know of and it is not popping out. Can anybody suggest any other way to unfreeze the old one, so I can put in the new one tonight?
I currently have it in a vice grip and am trying to pound out with...

It was attempting to turn over, but never did. During that time of trying to get it to run, the batteries drained more. At that point I hooked up a battery charger for about 20 minutes and after doing so it turned over and started.
I have two group 34 batteries I purchased from a green and...
I am currently driving home and just passed by my favorite AutoZone. ;)
They hooked up their alternator and battery tester see if it would pass and it did, so once I get home I will start looking for in depth with my voltmeter.
After letting it charge for 20 minutes, it started right up. I am going to guess it is an alternator or one of those GEN bulb issues. Anything else I should look at?
Thank you for your suggestions, by the way. I will keep those in my memory bank and remember them if I ever have trouble like...
